These burgers were delicious, the size was perfect for me (about medium size) and left some space for dessert. The meat was juicy and cooked to order.

I give it 5 starts because you get exactly what you're looking for. And a little bit more. Burgers here are pretty high above the average. In fact, I would say here at shake shack they offer gourmet quality burgers. Everything, the bread, the tasty cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and especially the meat are high quality ingredients, and very fresh also. Have on the side an order of very nice fries (I recommend the cheese fries, really good cheeses on those fries). I normally get an Arnold Palmer, which I think is great. They sell other juices, beers (including one of their own) and some really nice shakes.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this place. The burger was pretty small for the price, (approx $20) and the cheese fries left little to be desired.. The malk shake was good, but served in a medium size cup. Don't think I'll be back.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, very quaint ambiance. Definitely a casual place. Definitely returning and exploring other items in the menu. The staff is very friendly!!

The food here is good. Unlike any other fast food restaurant it is actually nice. The cheese fries are delicious and the burgers are good even though it is greasy. There are treats for dogs and I got one for my dog and he ate it real quick!

Tasty burgers (8/10), NOT open late, so minus a star (at least).

My favorite go to burger joint. The shack attack.. Or whatever, the most pricey burger is the best. It's juicy steak topped with a fried mushroom filled with cheese!! :))))) Love ...true love. Did I mention how adorable it is that they have a pet menu... also fantastic milk shakes and fries. Bon appetit! My first time here was in NY city. You can imagine how happy I was to see that they have this place in Miami :) there's also another location in south beach.

I love this place when I am craving a juicy fatty fast food burger. You can get in and out quick, they have plenty of seating a nice size parking lot and the food is great for fast food. The Mushroom burger is Delicious a tasty vegetation option, not at all healthy. The fires are ok the cheese fries are just the processed cheese spread not good for you but good tasting. Shakes are nice. I tend to get just a basic single patty cheese burger with tomato onion and lettuce and am so satisfied! The veggie toppings are fresh. A great fast food burger joint. Friendly staff clean facility. Tones of tvs all over for game night.

I will not return. You shouldn't waste your money. 11:30 am. Filthy tables and chairs. Catchup & food particles everywhere. I Sat down without looking and I got stuck to one. Ruined my pants. Fries only, no imagination to the menu. Smoke shak burger was a salt lick, bun was soggy and tasteless. Whatever was they called bacon was chewy and weird. Shake was ok but not worth half of what they charged. Now I have stomach ache. And a big hole in my wallet.

Feels like NYC all over again thank god for this place! Same quality and goodness like in NYC! Got the vanilla custard and it was awesome. Haven't tried the burger yet but my friend loved it

A few weeks ago I tried eating at a shake shack location other than the ones in New York, maybe I'm crazy but the burgers just didn't taste the same, they were definitely lacking something. As far as staff, parking, and location, this place is awesome.

Came back to try again. We just love their fries and custard. Truly outstanding. Service great too. Had basic cheeseburgers. Still same, on the salty side, but I didn't mind as much. Enjoyed the experience and was satisfied. I like Jefe's Original more but if I'm in the area, this is good alternative.

This place is beyond the bomb.com . It's possibly one of my favorite quick burger places to come to. There's not really much to say about Shake Shack, the service is amazing, the quality of the food is always above par and the cheese fries....... Just don't forget to bring a change of pants. If you are ever in the mood for an amazing cheese burger, Shake Shack is the place to go.

I was in Miami (go Hurricanes) and finally tried Shake Shack. Honestly, it was pretty good (as in much better than McDonalds) but not great like Five Guys, BurgerFi, Charm City, etc. The restaurant is super clean, modern, lots of seats. The menu is simple and easy to understand and the service was good. The burgers are very good and will satisfy, but fall a notch below the other "upscale burger joints" as the competition is stiff in this food category. The fries were very good (especially the cheese ones) but are not the natural cut potatoes in peanut oil. I had a chocolate shake and it was excellent. All in all, it is a fine place for burgers, fires, and a shake, but not an epic experience..

I'm here from California, don't listen to the mediocre reviews. This is without question some of the best burgers you'll have. Highest quality beef, and great shakes. Yes it's slightly more expensive, but if you want a crappy burger then go to Mickie Ds, however if you want a great burger then Shake Shack is it. They do one thing very well. Burgers.

  • Laurin P.

Recently gave this place a try and wasn't disappointed. The burger was AMAZING!! Fries were standard. Drinks came very small. I can't give more than 3 stars because this place is ulta expensive for what you get. While the burger was fantastic-I don't think it was worth $40+ for 2 burgers, fries, drinks, and milkshake. But I f you're in the mood and don't mind the price, you won't be disappointed in the food!

I stopped going to Shake Shack when they switched to those weird regular fries BUT now that crinkle cut is back I can go on and on about how wonderful this place is! Burgers are so great and juicy, the cheese fries are to DIE for, my boyfriend and I get two orders of them! The first time we went we ended up returning just two days later because we were hooked! It's pricey I suppose but really so worth it. Two burgers, two cheese fries, a drink, about 25 bucks I think? Almost 30 if you get some bacon (which is a must) All in all my #1 favorite burger joint. Cool decor, great location EXCEPT FOR PARKING. Truly a hassle when it's busy. They seem to cook their burgers by default with a slight pink so ask for it well done if need be!

Finally a Location in South Miami. I came here for lunch the other day and got a burger, cheese fries, and caramel shake. It was delicious just like any other Shake Shack I have been to. Nice size restaurant and everything inside is clean and new. Parking Sucks so if you come here for lunch come before 12 or after 2 cause if you come between 12-2 you are not gonna find Parking! That's my only Complaint!

I loved the hamburger and the strawberry milkshake. The only thing you should know its that portions are small. However, its a good place to go.

I had the 'Shroom burger, and I can define it in one word: delicious! Also, I had the cheese fries which were tasty, but nothing out of this world. Tried the vanilla shake and it was so yummy. If you happen to be near a Shake Shack, you must try it.

To all the people who complained about salt and cholesterol, go eat a fucking salad. To all of you who complained about price, go eat from the dollar menu at McDonalds. If you're one of those two people, this review is not for you. Shake Shack always delivers a consistently succulent burger. The cheese, the sauce, the ingredients, all fresh and with the perfect density. The fries are old fashioned 1998 school cafeteria lunch food; crispy on the outside soft on the inside. For dessert, if you enjoy key lime pie, try the key lime pie custard, it's rich, creamy and simply flawless. This is treat yo' self food. Just order, eat, enjoy.

Been to Shake Shack on the beach, but decided to stop in on the one on US1 - being burger month and all. The place was busy! They were showing the Heat game so a lot of people were just hanging out watching the game. We went to order and the cashier might of thought he was being funny but ended up really but was really not. "What would you like to order." We'll have to Shack burgers. "Everything on it? Onionslettucetomatoesbaconcheese." Huh? "Everything on it? Onionslettucetomatoesbaconcheese." Huh? "Everything on it? Onionslettucetomatoesbaconcheese." Oh, yea...everything on it. And we will have two sodas. "cokedietcokespriteoraangefantagrapefanta" Huh?! "cokedietcokespriteoraangefantagrapefanta" WHAT?! Do you have grape Fanta dude? "Yep." Ok we will have two.. Why can't you just slow down? Explain the options? Then he said "Time for ____(forgot his name) to go on break! YEA! Time to watch me some basketball!" Who does that? Pretend like you at least like your job...... So to the food - The burgers are awesome and part of the reason I like them so much is because they photograph so darn well! My Instagram blew up! The colors are so perfect, and the way they layer them....so nice. Even better tasting! Toppings are fresh and the patty is so tasty - maybe a little salty, but so good. We also had cheese fries. The fries aren't anything to write home about but with the cheese it made a perfect side. PLUS THEY HAVE GRAPE SODA!!! Man, I wish more places carried grape soda....I just don't know if there is enough people who would get it. But I would - every time.

YUUUUUUUUUMY I need to go back ...my burger was absolutely delicious!! I had the shack stack and I almost dieeeeeeed and went to heaven with that cheesy mushroom // I also had one of the hot dogs and was so good / I wanted to shoot myself with the chocolate malt custard ........I really want to go back soon!!!

overpriced hamburgers and drinks. Not sure what everyone loves about this place I can get the same thing for way less at other burger joints. I wasn't impressed with the food or service.

Not a fan of the fries, but everything else is yummy, especially the shakes (of course)!

Good location. Parking lot is kind of tight. Service is pretty quick. Burgers & hot dogs are tasty. Fries used to be good but they've since switched them to another style that I don't enjoy as much. Drinks & desserts are too small. They've got a ping pong table there too if you feel like playing.

The burgers here are juicy and decently priced. The real question here though is how does Shake Shack compare to the competition? The burgers are far better than your typical fast food place like McDonald's or Burger King. It's also a bit more expensive. The real comparison is in Five Guys who also deals in high quality cheap burgers. Compared to Five Guys, Shake Shack is more expensive, has less toppings choices, and has worse fries (albeit still good). However, shake shack's burgers have a different taste quality than Five Guys, I don't want to say better but it's different in a good way, which is why I even come here over Five Guys, mostly for the change of pace. The shakes and custard ice cream aren't too bad either.

The food is beyond great but the price is ridiculous. Two orders came out to $40? No, sorry. Burgers the size of a babies fist should not be 8.50 (not including soda and fries). 3 stars for good food but not worth the price at all. I'd pay $5 for those amazing shakes though.

Burgers, burgers are everywhere lately. My daughter and I stopped in for a lunch. We both ordered just the basic Shake shack cheeseburger. I must say I do really enjoy their buns, they are fluffy and always fresh just like the lettuce and tomato's. The burger itself is just OK for me. The meat did not leaving me wanting more. Service is quite friendly here as the staff are always smiling. If I am in the mood for a great unique burger I think I would choose Rok Burger, now they left me wanting much more. If in a hurry wanting a quick grub then yeah I would come back. I know everyone talks about their famous shakes as well and custard. Their custard no lie is addicting, smooth creamy and delish. Not a bad burger joint!

  • Adam S.

I thought this place was good, but not great. Although, I will say that both the caramel and the peanut butter shakes that I tried were noticeably above average in taste and quality. The burger itself was just ok for me. I had the smoke shack burger which is basically a bacon cheeseburger with cherry peppers and their special sauce. The cherry peppers added some nice spice to the burger, but other than that, I didn't feel like there was much here to separate it from the pack. The cheese fries were good, but they are cheese fries. It's hard to screw those up (although it is possible). Also, the price tag was pretty high for what you get. Almost $30 for 2 shakes, a single order of cheese fries, and 2 fairly small burgers is high. The food is fine here, but for that money I want better than "fine."

    (3)
  • Joyce A.

The burgers were good, just not filling. There really isn't a variety in the type of burgers on the menu. The fries are also in small quantities. Basically, it's a glorified fast food burger place. Tomatoes and lettuce fresh. Not worth the hype.

  • Carlos M.

The place is OK when being clean. The service is ok, while I was telling my order to the cashier the guy looked like he was miserable, he kept staring at me looking deep deep inside my soul asking me to please kill him..... Anyways the fries were not so good as they tasted as if they were fried with really old oil. The burger patties were VERY salty... For those who suffer high blood pressure... You will die over there.... Yup. I got the lemonade and it was.... Ehh... A bit bitter. They had a lot of TVs and the tables were comfortable. Where you get the ketchup and mayo is pretty horrible... The good... Well decorated

This is a great shake shack. Only complaint is that it is way, way too cold inside. I hate coming in unless I've brought a sweater which is crazy since this is Miami. Turn the A/C down, folks.

Yes shake shack in Florida!! One of the best places to get a burger and a shake! Only bad thing is that the fries at this location are not the curly ones you get at the NYC locations but, they are still delicious.

Absolutely love the burgers there and so glad they brought back the crinkle fries! Set the bar pretty high for my burger taste buds

Went for lunch on a weekday. The place was pretty much deserted but there was a lot of staff behind the counter. The place is clean, neat, and the service was just a tad slow, although very professional. The burger (I got the plain burger no cheese), was just OK and for the quality a little overpriced. Also a bit on the small side: 4 bites and done. The fries were good, actually quite good. Will I return? Maybe, if I feel like walking 4 blocks but I ain't taking my car out of the garage for this. It just didn't give me that kind of feeling.

Omg, this place is honestly worth the hassle to get in because the food is absolutely amazing. Great location along US-1 but the parking situation sucks. I would've given this place 5 stars if this wasn't an issue. You either have to park several blocks away, pay for parking and walk over or creep through the parking lot, stalking patrons as they come out of the restaurant to park in the tiny lot. But the food- lord Jesus, its a fire. The Shake Stack is my favorite thing in this restaurant. If you have not had it, drop your computer, get in your car, drive over and have one immediately. Right now. Don't even finish read in this review just go!

DELICIOUS. THREE times here And I could never get tired of it. I love how they have a vegetarian option for those who don't eat meat! But even if it is a vegetable, I loveeeeee their shroom burger. This is the closest shake shack to me and it's a hassle to get here BUT ITS WORTH IT. It's actually a good thing that it's pretty far cause if it were close to me I wouldn't hesitate to eat there EVERYDAY lol The parking is kinda small. They have so many seats available but the parking in front of the restaurant is very limited. Although, they're are some metered parking spaces walking distance. Even if parking isn't the best, it's not worth taking away a star lol FIVE STARs (obvs lol) Their shroom burger just bursts out with cheese and the size is perfect and omgggg I'm in love hahha XD

My husband, son, and I went Yesterday for the first time. We joked how we couldn't believe it was our first time there considering how close to it we live, and how I'm always in that Coral Gables/SoMi area. We all had burgers and fries. The burgers were great. One complaint...a little too small. That's the only reason for the four stars. The shakes were good. The dining area was clean, and there are employees constantly picking up/tidying up the place. The chairs and tables are made from repurposed wood, which I thought was cool. There was a stamp on the tables that said that the wood from the table was originally wood from a bowling alley in Brooklyn, NY. How cool is that? We will be back...sooner than later, I'm sure.

for some reason I always seem to be dragged to here and the result is always the same, a way below average for a mid tier burger. Tried the mushroom burger and my girlfriend had the smoke shack this last visit. we were both underwhelmed. The burgers were small, probably a bit bigger than a slider. taste wise mine was OK, nothing memorable. My girlfriend didn't finish hers even though she was hungry because it wasn't worth it. The fries were good, but again nothing wow. On the upside the place is pretty neat. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful.

When you're craving a perfect cheeseburger, then Shake Shack is your place. The burgers are perfectly cooked, the sauce is so yummy and those cheese fries are a perfect combination of crunchy and cheesy. You just can't do the whole burger experience without the milkshake! Omg it's ice cream on a straw... Oh so good!!!! And if you're not in the mood for a milkshake, you can pair your burger with a nice selection of beer or wine! Only downside with this location is limited and tight parking spaces, although, there is some street parking behind the establishment.

Got my burger and fries fix! Stopped in to get a shake bueger, cheese fries, and custom concrete, and never fails to fulfill my craving. The team is always very friendly and efficient. Food comes out pretty quickly and always tastes amazing. The concrete we created had truffle cookie dough, chocolate sprinkles and caramel....soo good!

Tired of the same old burger place, then it's time to switch things up and go here. A variety of burgers, hot dogs, cheese fries, and custards. The Shroom burger was amazing! A vegetarian sandwich with a cheese filled, breaded, and fried mushroom as its center with tomatoes and lettuce. Also, college students get a 15% discount!!!

Tonight, my partner and I had Shake Shack for the very first time, and we l-o-v-e-d it! The staff was very friendly; the burgers and fries were perfectly cooked; the lettuce and tomatoes were so fresh; and my knees got weak (in a good way) when I tasted that shake. If you've never tried Shake Shack, you don't know what you're missing! I'll be back very soon. :)

I totally prefer Bobby's Burger or the local RokBrgr over Shake Shack. Not sure why there was a craze over this place in New York. At least I know I'm not missing out on all awesome New York food down in Florida.

It's good for what it is: a 'fast casual' burger place with a focused menu. You'll be satisfied. Hard to believe you'll be blown away. For my part, I think Shake Shack's competitors in this business space do it better (Five Guys jumps to mind). Took my order to go. I liked the burger better than I liked the fries. I had the Shackmeister burger, one patty, cheese, and fried shallots. It was solid. Good flavors and cooked right. I was disappointed when I got home and found out it didn't have any lettuce or tomato -- just the cheese and fried shallots. Maybe this was simply my fault for not looking closely enough at the menu, but I had assumed I'd at least get lettuce. I asked for my Shack sauce on the side. Not bad, but just not my thing. If you like a mayo-based sauce, you will like this better than I did. I liked the fried shallots served on the burger quite a lot. But frankly they were indistinguishable from onions. Obviously, shallots are going to taste very, very, very, similar to onions -- but nonetheless shallots out to have a milder flavor. Not so here -- these had the same flavor profile of your standard fried onion. So while the shallots are tasty, don't expect them to be somehow unique. I thought the fries were OK. Tried some with the cheese sauce and thought the cheese sauce was a bit below average. I would have been happier skipping the fries altogether and getting a second burger. One of the good things about Shake Shack is that the burgers are pretty appropriately portioned. These are not some crazy thick burgers overflowing with toppings. You can choose single patty or double. While it's nice that the portion size is not crazy, I think the burgers are priced a bit too high for the portion.

SS serves beautiful gourmet burgers, crinkle fries, shakes and more! The burgers are actually gourmet (unlike the many places serving what they claim to be gourmet burgers). They are perfectly cooked...a little firm on the outside but super tender and juicy on the incident. The burgers typically come with cheese and their signature shack sauce. The combination of the two make ketchup and/or mustard surplus to requirements. The cheese is melted evenly across the burger across the meet as is shack sauce. Overall these are amazingly delicious, juicy burgers. The fries are crispy, golden, and crinkle cut. Is there more I need to say about this? Their name is SHAKE shack..SHAKE shack..if they didn't have great shakes then they'd be great liars OR I'd be an idiot for thinking that the shakes were amazing. I'll let you decide. They also serve beer (for you adults), hot dogs, etc.

If you're from California and have wondered this or In N Out? The answer is In N Out, hands down! I've heard so much hype about this place and it was meeehh. The burger is good - buns are fluffy and patty is good. But it's just a normal, fast-food burger for the price of a $$$ restaurant. I can get the same burger with BETTER, crispier buns at In N Out for $2 (vs. $7), and with In N Out spread! Hm...the answer is easy. Shake Shack fries are good and very different from In N Out more starchy, thin cut fries, but the latter is way better, especially with the spread.

  • Mia D.

I just don't get the hype. It's an overpriced fast food joint. $27 for a shroom burger, a burger, two fries and two baby cokes. And I had to get up and get it all. For $27. No thanks.

This place is a great joint. Yes, they have tasty shakes, but the also have tasty food. I am loving there burgers and fries. Ideal place for those in a hurry who want a quick bite that is satisfying. A very young hip atmosphere.

  • Cassandra C.

Shake Shack is definitely better than 5 guys. The burgers are beautiful and juicy. The crinkle fries are amazing. Crispy. Salty. So satisfying. I've been here before and they've served different fries and they didn't even come close to the crinkle fries. If you come in and get a burger and crinkle fries, not the other fries, you will be so so satisfied.

  • Rod '.

The burger was definitely better than some other "high-end" burger joints like Five Guys. I think the secret is in the buns and the simplicity of the patty. However, as for quality and value, both burger and shake still can't beat In-N-Out. I think this place is just over-hyped. I was going to give them a "3" star, but this location has two negatives. First, there's no parking. Second, who's the genius behind having a ping pong table in the dining area. There were kids just running around all over the place which is not conducive to eating PERIOD. Would I go back, yes, but not to this location.

Came here for a burger and shake and they have no shakes. Very disappointing. They should take the word shake out of the name. You would expect they would have a backup system

Yummy place for a burger and fries. The shack burger is my favorite. If you're expecting a big filling burger, then this is not the place for you. Crinkle cheese fries are a must. They are also known for their shakes, but I wasn't blown away with the peanut butter one. A little over the top. The atmosphere will continue to bring me back here. If I'm in the neighborhood and craving something greasy, this is my spot.

I have been waiting for about 2 years to try Shake Shack. I didn't have a chance when I was in Brooklyn and posters in Vegas keeps telling me that Shake Shack is coming soon. I believe the last update is that it is coming to Vegas late 2014. Anyways, I didn't have patience anymore so when I was in Florida, I made sure that I was going to have time to finally try Shake Shack! When I arrived, I really liked the decor. I also kind of arrived with the mentality of "Shake Shack vs. In & Out -- who does it better?" I love burgers and I love the drama in the burger world. Shake Shack also serves alcohol AND have treats for your dog! I don't drink soda/pop so it was nice that they had brewed tea, lemonade and a 50/50 mix (Arnold Palmer). I also appreciated how the table was made from reclaimed bowling alley flooring from Brooklyn, NY. In addition, the bathroom was very clean. I like it when bathroom doors go all the way to the bottom of the floor. It's a bathroom, why not have that privacy?! Already, Shake Shack was winning by its looks, menu and alcohol options. I ordered the Shack Burger, cheese fries and vanilla frozen custard. When I finally got my order, I had to take a picture. Like others mentioned, Shake Shack's food photographs really beautifully. Good job on having photogenic food, Shake Shack! Upon biting into the burger, I noticed it was juicy buuuuuut it was kind of salty. It was also not that flavorful. The Shacksauce was good but nothing mind-blowing. I didn't desire it as much as I pine after the In & Out "secret sauce" aka spread. The fries were okay. The frozen custard was creamy and rich. I'd be interested in trying it with different toppings. Despite winning in looks, menu and alcohol options, In & Out definitely wins in flavor. I feel like prices are incomparable; although Shake Shack have slightly higher prices, they also have more add-ins for their burgers (ie. bacon, mushrooms, etc). All in all, I cannot go back to a restaurant just for its looks, menu options and alcohol. When I want a burger, I want a good-tasting burger that leaves me satisfied. So Shake Shack versus In & Out? In & Out wins.

I think yelp needs to expand the star choices to include half stars. I rather give this place 4.5 stars instead of 4. It's basically a five guys with shakes. But the shakes are pretty good so that is good enough for me. LOL I'm not coming here for calorie count.

Whenever I'm in the mood for a fast cheeseburger and fries that's not from a franchise, Shake Shack is always the way to go. I always order the double cheeseburger and can never get enough of their crispy crinkle fries. Plenty of people seem to be complaining about the size of SS's burgers, but I think they're a perfect portion. Especially if you want to treat yourself to a frozen custard afterwards, which, by the way, I highly recommend the salted caramel custard with crispy chocolate bits on Saturdays! I specifically love the Gables location over the Lincoln Road one because it's a bigger, more accommodating size for the large crowds it typically draws. The service is also fast and efficient. They actually have employees visiting each table to see if you're in need of a refill or more ketchup and napkins, to which I always respond yes to all of the above, especially since I'm typically always in need of more ketchup--the extra napkins come in handy for the inevitable mess on my shirt as a result of over doing it with said ketchup.

I first tried Shake Shack at the sweltering hot mess that was the meat sauna/inferno/hell hole AKA The Grind where they took the big prize home. Since that sweaty encounter I have remembered them fondly. The perfectly soft bun, the juicy meat patty, the beautifully melted cheese draped over the meat... drool. The fries aren't very special since they are good ol' crinkle fries but they are just so good when dipped in their cheese sauce. The custard is perfection. Thick, creamy, custardy. We had the red velvet which was ridiculous. On our next visit we ordered burgers (duh!) and a hot dog which was also pure perfection - thick juicy meaty perfection. The taste of the meat was pure, no funky additives or animal parts suspected. If they are in there, which they may be, they sure hide it well. Thank you. We also had the caramel apple custard which was also pretty damn divine. This place is so simple but so damn good. Service is also good.

Ahhhh, a happy place without the crappy NYC weather! Enjoyed the daily special concrete on Saturday (Bacon & Waffle), unique & delicious, along with wonderful SmokeShack burger.

This place is really just so-so. I've been here 3 times and have never been impressed. The burgers are decent, definitely a notch up from most fast food burgers, but nothing to write home about. I found that the prices here are a little steep for what you get. I mean seriously the soda size is really small and the burger is not very filling. I would give 5 stars just for the shakes though, those are worth coming for. Besides that I wouldn't ever go out of my way to eat here, much better options elsewhere.

What bad can be said about Shake Shack? None. The burgers are solid, classic. Not too small, not too big, perfect size. The perfect amount of juicy. Excellent! They give out free custard when the Canes win and w score above 70 (basketball) They have dog treats and my dog Emilio loves it there! He always orders the Pooch-tini. There's a guy at the register who likes to rag on Barça bc hes a Real Madrid fan. Clearly he's well aware we are Barça fans! hahaha Welcome to mainland Miami Shake Shack!

One of the last burger joints left for me to try, I was excited to finally have the chance while down at the UM basketball game. The place was humming at lunch just before tipoff and the small parking lot was jam-packed and hard to manuever in. Cruised around looking for a spot until finally just settling on parking at the Publix lot. In hindsight, being that I had tickets to the game, I should have just parked at the arena (but that means crossing US1), or had I waited to fill up not 2 miles before, could have filled up at the Shell next door and asked them to park there (having just been a customer of theirs). The place was packed but strangely not for the line to place your order. After figuring out the system, everyone was jammed at the "pickup" side, which made it hard to see the menu board which is completely across the other side of the room from the order counter. After working through with the cashier on what we wanted, we were given the beeper and went to find a table, but had to take one of the counter tops (no big deal). Starving and wanting to get to our game, the 20+ minute wait (for 2 Shack burgers a fry and a strawberry shake with a coke) was shaking our patience. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. The shake was warm and syrupy, not thick at all and hardly tasted like strawberries. The burgers were marginally better than McDonalds and the crinkle cut fries were OK. Just very underwhelming overall. Combine with the aggravation of parking, the long wait and no value (+$20, almost the price of our post game dinner) we started to emulate the chants from the arena when UM beat Duke: "Over-rated!". Next time we won't drive by the Five Guys next door.

I usually come here with my daughter she enjoys it a lot. For me the burgers are a step up from 5 guys, the fries are nice and crispy and the vanilla malted is delicious. Now for the downside.... The prices are a bit expensive for what you get. They only have American cheese, no cheddar. The last time I went my burger was a bit raw on the inside but that only happened once.

As I write this review I just got back from my third episode of GASTROINTESTINAL DISTRESS as a result of eating at this place. I had always been dying to try Shake Shack, and finally got my chance this week. The decor and customer service at the restaurant are excellent. The actual product they sell you is dog food. The burgers are small and look like crap. You know when you are served a crappy burger: the bun is all smushed thin like someone put a box on top of the bun bag in the kitchen, the burger patty was thin and greasy and tasted old, the veggies were substandard, mealy tomato, etc. I was shocked that this is what the much-hyped Shake Shack serves. The burgers are also very salty and mine was served to me cold. You'd think they could redeem themselves with the fries, but no. The fries are no better than going to Publix and buying a bag of crinkly fries and making them at home. The frozen custard is OK, the "Concrete" desserts and mix-ins are not worth the price and you can get much better dessert somewhere else. The shake we had was the only bright spot, although it wasn't the best shake I have ever had. I actually think Five Guys is not that great, but even Five Guys is better than this food. What a major disappointment this place was. Total crap.

What to expect when expecting SHAKE SHACK? I was expecting quality burgers with an awesome shake at affordable prices that would not make my pockets scream in pain. Furthermore, I was expecting tons of eye candy since it is located near University of Miami. What happened at Shake Shack? The service was fast and friendly. Burgers came out fast as if it was an assembly line back there. The burger was very tasty, but the shake sauce was nasty. (I hate mayonnaise). I got the Smoke Shack. It was very well done burger and the pickled red peppers were really a nice touch, however, the burger was incredibly tiny and pricey. It was near $7 for the single stack. The shake was near $6 for something that is nothing special. Get this, the shake came in a cup barely bigger than a pee cup from the doctor's. The fries was about $3. These crinkle cut fries reminded me of my grade school cafeteria french fries. It tasted marginally better than what I remembered from grade school. I suppose smaller sizes is one way to combat obesity, but please do not make me have to sell my kidney, so I can afford a burger from Shake Shack. What you should really expect? If you get the full Shake Shack experience expect to spend near $15 for pint sized version of their tasty burger and an unique shake. With that, you will receive well prepared cafeteria fries. Also, included in this awesome value, one will get to see the posh design of Shake Shack and their ultra green tables made of bowling alleys. The value becomes very low due the proportions. The value gets even lower with the price. They should offer loans or layaway for their burgers.

Legit burger - get the smoke shack. Burgers are great, fries are ok, beer is always a good selection. Custard is always greatness. One of those places with a good energy.

Honestly, I don't think there's a better burger joint in all of Miami. The ShackBurger features their signature shack sauce which is just divine. Although the plain fries are melt in your mouth crispy and savory, you must, I repeat MUST order the cheese fries. This cheese drenched mountain of goodness is hands down my favorite fries from absolutely any restaurant. Another must are the shakes. After all, it is called Shake Shack. The Black & White and Strawberry shakes are especially phenomenal, with the Peanut Butter and regular Chocolate coming in at close seconds. They are made from frozen custard instead of ice cream, making them unusually thick, smooth, and filling. Shake Shake does come at a steep price, making this a Miami hotspot a treat to be enjoyed when you're feeling especially indulgent.

Shake shack is a little pricy for lunch. But it delivers some fantastic food and it's pretty quick. I always get a single burger - no cheese but add bacon. It compares as sort of a cross between a butter burger and steak & shake. There's one of these in downtown Brooklyn that's really nice too. I also get free scoop of frozen custard with my UMiami ID. Sweeeeet.

yum yum yum yum yum! No longer do you have to trek to South Beach to taste the deliciousness that is Shake Shack, you have your own in Coral Gables! My bf and I tried this NY staple on opening day and were very well pleased. The line was about 10 minutes long (short compared to the around-the-corner lines happening all day!) and we were able to get our food within an appropriate time frame. We both opted to go big and order double stacked sandwiches, I, the classic cheeseburger, and for my man, the smoke shack. The burgers were perfect, the cheese was gooey and the shack sauce as tasty as ever. My concrete was the BEST part of the trip. I chose a build your own with a chocolate base, chocolate cookie dough truffle (i die!) and peanut butter swirl. I am still thinking about it! This is the best thing to happen in South Miami since Whisk and I cannot wait to become a regular.

I was told that this was the best burger place in the US but I have yet to see why. First, the parking here is terrible. It's the curse of every restaurant that has been in this location. The lot is small and the spaces are cramped. The burgers are pretty good but nothing special. The taste doesn't justify being more expensive than a place like Five Guys. The best part of the restaurant is definitely the shakes. The shakes are good though I do wish they were a bit bigger. Overall, it's decent but it's not what it was made out to be.

One of the highlights of visiting New York for the hubby and I was the food, one of which was the famous Shake Shack. Man, was it good! The burgers so juicy, the crinkle cut fries so crispy..my second favorite to waffle fries. It was great! To our surprise, we heard they had opened up some shacks here in Miami! We went in fear thinking that it wouldn't live up to the quality in New York, and to our surprise it was just s good.. Except this time you don't have to pick a fight with someone over a table! At least when we went. The service was great, someone is always passing by asking if you needed anything. Which I think was great especially since it's not like a restaurant where you have a server, but more like a burger king where you order up front and then pick up your food when it's ready. They sell these cute shirts at the counter which unfortunately my favorite ones were kids shirts... of coarse. Anywho... So we had the smoke shack burgers, shared fries with a side of their special sauce, i had the strawberry cheesecake shake and the hubby had the shackmeister beer. And may I add, the Shackmeister beer goes soooo well with the burgers! Brooklyn Brewery knew what they were doing. Well, next time I'm going to make sure they pile on those peppers, it was so good, and the bacon, thick juicy pieces.. Yum yum yumm. The fries of coarse, perfectly crisp and delish with the special sauce. Now, the only gripe I may have is the price. Our burgers as juicy and good as they were, $6.25 each? They are pretty small. Now it filled me up, but I know there's people out there that it would not satisfy.. I just tell myself that it must be their quality ingredients.. And of coarse I will for sure be back. I love you shake shack, welcome to sunny Miami!

So, like Jennifer M., I no longer have to travel far and wide to SoBe for my Shake Shack fix, it's dangerously nearby and I'm in trouble...deep trouble. Grand Opening day was a little more dramatic than I expected, nonstop lines out of the door both day and night. Little infrastructure (lot parking/metered parking) to accommodate the huge crowd. I went to Shake Shack twice today, let me explain...not to eat twice, but because I couldn't afford to wait in line for an hour on the first visit so I decided to return later. However, before leaving my sister and I were pleasured with the Sunday Custard of the Day, Sweet Corn--it was so very delightful, it reminded me of a sweet corn souffle that I make. I decided that I now wanted to order cheese fries, my usual Shackburger (w/ no tomatoes), and a sweet corn custard. Unfortunately, upon my return they were out of their delightful Sunday Custard of the Day that I had mostly returned for, and they had changed the flavor of the day to the Thursday flavor of the day, Boston cream pie (it was not a equal substitute). Well, I opted for a Fair (Trade) Shake which was delicious as usual and was a great accompaniment to the rest of my meal and doubly served as a pick-me-up after waiting in such a long line. While the lack of parking spaces and long line was a pain, it was relative for the location and the fact that it was opening day. Soon, for Miamians, Shake Shack will lose it's hype, while not being just another burger joint...the wait I presume will be long, but not eternal as it seemed today. I shall return next Sunday, heading straight to the C-Line, for my fix of Sweet Corn Custard. Please don't tell me you've run out, because I'm not settling for any other custard of the day.

I like the new locale. The place is big with lots of indoor seating. Food is about the same as the South Beach Location although I did see a couple of new burgers on the menu. One thing though is that I didn't like my fries which is weird cause I gobble them down at the other place. I think the problem was that they were cold and when I complained they gave me another that was no warmer.

Stopped in for lunch last week as a first timer. I've been meaning to try it for a while after reading articles about the lines at the NYC Shake Shack. Really like the setup, especially all the TVs with NFL Network. Can't beat strategizing the week's fantasy football roster over burgers. I got the regular shake burger with lettuce tomato and shake sauce. It was really good quality ingredients, but it was extremely salty. It was probably just a fluke, so I give it's probably more like a 3.5. The crinkle fries were really good, and I think next time I will go for the burger with bacon.

The wave of burger imports continues to invade Miami. Shake Shack has done a tasteful job of renovating the restaurant graveyard that it occupies on US1. Hopefully, this place has staying power. The burgers are very tasty and well presented. It's their "proprietary" mixture of meats that account for their unique taste, whatever that means. But this place ain't popular for nothin', their burgers really are pretty good. Good? Yes. Also expensive. We pay more for everything in Miami, for some reason. The flip side is we usually don't get enough for our money. It's no different here, the burgers should be 20% cheaper. They are humble hamburgers! I was turned off by the high hipster quotient at the Miami Beach outlet on Lincoln Road. That's not a problem here. This place is overpopulated by moms, dads and kids, with the occasional granny thrown in. It seems that every other kid that comes in here has a soccer uniform, or baseball uniform, or basketball uniform...well, you get the picture. Going for the cold stuff? You can avoid the long lines as they have a separate ordering line for you. What is delivered is less than stellar. My shake was more like a thick foam, and my wifes "concrete" was a cup not even full, and it was over sweet. The parking is awful. Wait until the new-ness and hype dies down, and then make your way there to try it out.

Ducked in with local public relations legends David and Chris Pearson to talk social and digital media and it was fair to midland, here's why: * Smallish burger with 2 paddies was near $8 bucks * Very, very salty * My shake was a chocolate treat That's it. Cool decor and a nice location directly across from the University of Miami, but I've had far better. Cabeza Unimpressed.

The burgers and shakes are amazing! They have crinkle cut fries which are really tasty and crispy. They selll beer and wine as weelll, but i always go for a shake because they are just so good#have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a ping pong table and tvs. This is a great place for lunch with the family. It does get pretty packed at on weekends for dinner. We try to come around lunch time on Sunday and we always get quick service.

Shake shack...I will never understand the hype. The food tasted fine, but the price was far from savory for the amount we had. So, if you're hungry go somewhere else. My husband and I got a burger, cheese fries, and a key lime pie concrete and they all tasted great, but it's just too spendy for our student budget to be a regular place for us to go too. So, I guess what I'm saying is it's worth a one time experience but for a burger place, nothing spectacular. You can get a burger for half the price that tastes just as good somewhere else. "

Burger Ballin! I am in love with Shake Shack. Another burger will never taste the same (I'm lying, B&B is still my favorite). But seriously, once you go Shack, it's hard to go back. The cheeseburgers are amazeballs, extra bacon and pickles for me. I love the crinkle fries. BRING BACK THE CRINKLE FRIES, DAMNIT! You must get the fries with special sauce, otherwise you're missing out. They also have hotdogs, but they don't interest me. For you vegetarians, there's also a shroom burger. The concretes are yummy and sweet-- the "key lime oh my" is my favorite. I love that there have new concrete flavors every day of the week. They also have ot separate lines at the register. One for ordering off the full menu and one for ordering just fries and concretes. Pretty cool that they have a doggy section too. Restaurant is spacious, they recently added a Ping pong table- great for channeling my Asian athletic abilities. The tables are made from old recycles bowling lanes, pretty cool. They should have put more effort into the parking lot tho, there's literally 10 parking spots.

Yo, East Coasters and former left coasters, if you've been craving In-N-Out, Shake Shack will hit the spot. It's not the same, but it's as close as I've found. I've heard of the legend, the myth that is Shake Shack, so it was put on the To Do List for So Flo. This location had no wait, a decent sized parking structure (it was free too), ample seating, a tv, and a ping-pong table (fo' reals). The menu is posted on the wall and they offer burgers, hot dogs, fries, frozen custards available is shakes, cones, floats, or concretes (think of a Dairy Queen blizzard). They also have wine and beer available. I ordered a classic single Shake Burger. It was delicious. Ground beef patty that extended the length of the bun, sauced just the right amount, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The burger is assembled perfectly. The Shake Shack sauce tasted like a combo of ketchup, mayo, a touch of mustard, and horsey sauce. The horsey added a nice zing to it. The fries were delicious and large. I ordered the cheese fries and they came with the perfect amount of cheese sauce. You can also request fries with no salt, twice fried, you name it. Shake Shack accommodates. I washed down my glutenous meal with a blueberry lemonade (which was a special) and it was divine. Nice and tart. The cashier let me sample it before I committed to the purchase. And because I was feeling extra fat and super hungry, I ordered a shake. They make their shakes with a homemade vanilla custard. I got mine in peanutbutter and extra thick. It was excellent. Shake Shack was legit. Was it the best burger, ever, no. For a fast food burger, it ranks up there. Quality, decent prices, and deliciousness. I'd definitely shake it for this shack (whatever that means).

Best Burger for Your Buck around Town. Its a simple $10 burger, but in reality its not so simple of a burger, they hide in the back and add all these highly addictive ingredients to the bread, the cheese, the meat, the vegetables and even the Bacon. These ingredients trigger a forever lasting craving, of "Shake Shack all the Time", if only it could be soo true, and I could eat shake shack all day everyday, barring a few heartattacks and couple blocked ateries. I choose not to eat it everyday, cause Im not the workout/fitness type, but am somewhat healthly, and I dont think obesity is fit for me, but all in all if i had a shake shack close by, a daily trainer, high cholesterol didnt exist, I would eat Shake Shack everyday. All jokes aside there are no highly addictive infused ingredients (well none that i know of, or witnessed), but truth be told its just a Damn Good Burger, it has a clean taste, put together well, nothing is dropping out or the bread falling apart, from the first bite to the last bite, its heaven, I have had various $20 - $30 burgers and dont get me wrong they were very good, but a shack burger with its quality and price surpasses many of the high-end burger bars. I always stick with the same, double shack burger with bacon, extra pickles, and it never disappoints, Unfortunately the crinkle fries were taken away a few months ago,but a little birdie told me that they shall be returning this Fall, woot woot! The loaded fries with cheese & bacon, are great ! Make sure to try out a concrete, key lime is my fav. Thank you to whoever from the Headoffice in New York , that made the decision to expand and open chains in the Miami area.

This is my GUILTY PLEASURE!! Smoke Shack and Cheese Fries for the win! I feel kinda sorry for my friends back in the West Coast going crazy about In n Out. They don't know any better! New Yorkers, I get it now.

First off, very cool atmosphere here. Love the design and decor. The food is great too! I had the veggie burger with fries, and was pleased. Husband had a burger (note: portions are not too big), and he also enjoyed it. My only word of caution is do not waste your money on the creamsicle float. It tasted like ice cream with way too much orange Fanta just poured on top. And, like, I get that is what an ice cream float is, but I expected the flavors to blend together better and make something more magical than what it was. Just meh. Anyway, barring the creamsicle, great little burger joint. Check it out!

I love this place. I have dreams of their burgers and desserts. Whenever I have guests from out of town, I always bring them here. When I first heard of Shake shack I just thought it was a NY/northeast thing so when I heard it was in Miami, I squealed, so happy. It goes without saying that their burgers are amazing. So flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Their frozen custards are great. I loved their coffee and doughnuts flavor and boston creme pie flavors. Their fries are yummy as well. I've heard their shakes and other desserts are great as well. I have cravings for it all the time so I'll be back. I would go more often if they opened up near FIU though *hint hint* ;)

The burgers are pretty good. I don't think they're anything special. They're smaller than most burgers you get at other places but I liked that. They would taste much better with higher quality buns but the rest is pretty good. Worth the money for a quick burger.

  • Rebeca G.

I go there often & never have anything less than a great experience. I always think I'll try something different, but I pretty much get the same thing every time. I get a single shack burger w/bacon, fries and a Fanta orange soda. The food and the service is consistently excellent. I think it's wonderful they are dog friendly and offer a little dog menu! This location has plenty of outside seating and free wifi! Some people complain about the size and price of the burgers, but if you want more just get the double. If that's not enough, go back to Mickey D's. Side note: they changed their fries from frozen to fresh hand cut fries, 10x better! Pros: Clean, fresh hand cut fries, vegetarian fed-Angus beef Cons: Small parking lot, lettuce isn't great

Burgers are good. Overhyped. I personally think that you could get away with getting In N Out and I think these burgers are overpriced. I'd prefer to get a meatier burger like Slaters 50-50 burgers or burgers that are not as overpriced. Overall- ok. But would I recommend to everyone I see- not really..... Small mom n pop shops would do you better than this place!

I come here all the time I'll admit it. I live too close not too. Their cheese fries and shack burger are addicting. I love their soft bun that gets almost perfectly mushy with the greasy perfect patty with cheese and sauce. I also love their shakes and custard. What's there not to love?

The food at Shake Shack is good because it's systematized and the same at every location however this location comes with a side of stress and disorder. Have fun trying to find a parking spot and not being able to chill with your Shack Burger and leaving more stressed out than when you got there. No thanks. Go to the Lincoln Road one instead.

I love meat. I like lettuce and tomatoes and bread. But I do not like burgers. Something about them just doesn't click for me or my palate and I can honestly say I have never eaten more than half a burger. Until Shake Shack. The secret is in the sauce. I don't know what sauce it is or wht it has, but it is delicious. The actual meat was also tasty and not overcooked or dry, which is a rare thing indeed! My partner had the hot dog and was equally as impressed. The french fries, my personal area of expertise, were really great. They were salty and crispy-crunchy-chewy. You can tell they are made fresh every day and you can taste the difference. The half-and-half drink was wayyyyy to sweet for my taste, but the shake was good. it tasted like a cookie, which was the point. Prices are worth the portions, locations and quality, but might be a little pricy for every day eating.

This place has THE WORST parking. Aside from that, the food is delicious. I love the 'Shroom burger even though I've burned myself multiple times from the oozing cheese. Their regular burgers are amazing as well, fresh and flavorful. However, if you have a ravenous appetite, this place might not fill you up as the burgers are on the small side. Also, if you are just craving sweets (shakes or concretes), there is a separate line for that!

  • K D.

So, i would give shake shack 3 stars but my most recent visit changed that. I've eaten here a few times and just gotten the regular, single burger and called it a day. It has always been filling and delicious but nothing to write home about. Recently, i tried the shack burger which comes with bacon and peppers and has a real kick to it. I think its called their shake sauce or whatever. A serious party in my mouth. I understand the hype, hence why i think this review deserves 4 stars. Yummy!

Great place to grab a quick bite. It reminded me a bit of BurgerFi. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The only problem was parking as they don't have enough spaces but you can park on the side of the road.

This is a good location to stop in for a quick lunch, especially if you have children with you. There is a ping pong table and other games they can play while you wait for your food. Burgers are small and a little expensive, but they're made with high quality ingredients, and it's probably best not to overeat when your consuming greasy meat. They have milkshakes and other sweets but I prefer a nice beer, and they have a good -- even though limited -- craft selection.

  • Beatriz A.

I am honestly not a big burger person but I just love their burgers! They are pretty small but they fill you up with a side of fries. The melted cheese on the fries is the best! Taste better than the usual melted cheese. The shakes are also one of my favorite things here! The malted vanilla shake is def the best!

  • Landy G.

This place is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you get. Burgers are smaller than expected. Low quality burgers buns. I dont see how this place gets so packed when you can drive 5 minutes away to get a real burger at five guys. Burgers here are just plain boring. They don't even carry barbecue sauce or jalapeños when I asked. Milkshakes taste like Wendy's frosty shakes. Not good.

I have been to both the Miami beach location and this one. I am also a burger feen and religiously follow the burger beast. I have read reviews that call this the best burger in Miami, so I decided to give it another shot. The first time around, I made the mistake of ordering a single burger with fries and custard, and about 12 bucks later, I was still starving. So this time, I went with a double shack burger, fries, soda and custard, and I was still unsatisfied and hungry. The burger, I will admit, is very tasty. The pickles on the burger are great and the burger is well seasoned. I don't like the cheese on the burger, which is just a thin level above cheese whiz, and overall, I just can't get into this burger. The custard is very good and the service is very very fast.

Burgers, burgers, burgers. BEST BURGERS, second to none! Burgers done right, just the way you like it, fresh and delicious, combined with excellent service is the reason for their success.

Really spacious and clean shake shack compared to the ones in New York City. Just off US1 and plenty of parking. There were no lines either which is usually expected. Lots of seating inside and outdoors too. The shack burger was delicious, just hit the spot after a long day in the keys.

How can a hamburger place run out of parties? Specially a place like this one? Bad management bad service and bad food for today!

Like the burgers. I don't do the shakes. The mushroom burger combo is real good. They changed their French fries and they R TERRIBLE.

It's kind of disappointing after experiencing the one in NY. The place itself is really nice, and the people working there are very plesant. The burger tasted like i was working on a brick of MSG. So much salt it was gross. The shake was too rich, even for me who has a massive chocolate addiction, lol. They missed the mark on a few big deals that cost them two stars.

When craving all-American cuisine, it's hard to beat the classic burger/hot dog and fries. Shake Shack, a New York transplant, definitely delivers this to South Miami. They give a taste of their classic menu, with ample seating, and far smaller lines than the original NY location. Be aware, that options are fairly limited with the savory items. It is basically hot dogs, burgers, and fries. The hot dogs come with a number of "fixings," and are also available as a chicken dog. French fries are served with and without cheese sauce. The traditional burger is offered several ways, and they also have a portobello burger for vegetarians. That is pretty much all that they sell in terms of main dishes. I can't honestly say that I understand the burger-hype (is it just a New Yorker driven nostalgia?), as I don't really think they are any more unique than any other burger. The seem competent, but kind of small and overpriced to me. Nor are the crinkle-cut french fries particularly drool-worthy unless it is 3am and you're looking for something to sop up the liquor you ingested at a frat party. They are decent to be fair, but I just haven't found the food to be so utterly resplendent that I crave it. That being said, if you want a burger and fries, you can get it here. The one item I do splurge on with any regularity, is their shake. In addition to some standard flavors (among which I'm partial to the black and white), they have a monthly rotating custard calendar, which is filled with unique options. I do like to check it online in advance to plan my day of the week visit accordingly, and often I'm rewarded with innovative choices like caramel popcorn, sweet potato marshmallow, or the fig and goat cheese. These alone are worth stopping by for. So come, try, enjoy, and be sure to get a shake.

The burger was so feaking good! I love that it was juicy! I ordered the smoke shack burger with the works. Yummy! I was craving a bacon cheese burger! You guys hit a touchdown! I love that the burger had a kick to it as well! Love spicy! Great job! I wish you guys were closer to North Miami Beach area! Next time I'm in the area I will try your shakes!

My favorite Shake Shack location because it's virtually in front of the University of Miami. It felt great to get off campus and have a bite to eat here. The parking gives me a headache though - super small. I always feel like I'm gonna hit someone else's car. Get yourself a Shake Shack burger with their special sauce, a good portion of fries and a milkshake of your choosing (you can't go wrong with either chocolate or vanilla). The custards are to die for. There are flavors of the month so check that out. I also love the hot dogs and lemonade. Any place that offers pet treats on the menu is gonna get five stars!

For the life of me, I can't understand why New Yorkers (famously) line up around the block to eat at Shake Shack. Is it decent hangover food? Well, sure, but it would hardly be worth that kind of wait. Thankfully, the Coral Gables location is a lot more subdued. Still, the popularity of the Shake Shack's burgers boggles my mind. I don't get how these burgers are constantly so highly ranked by many of our area's most-respected food bloggers. On a recent visit, my Smoke Burger came overloaded with peppers, which made the burger too salty. I also think these burgers end up a bit on the greasy side. For me, the most compelling reason to visit the Shake Shack is the "Custard Calendar." Every month, there's a new special shake for each day of the week, and these are almost always spot on. I had a cinnamon cream cheese shake - where else are you going to find flavors like that? The Custard Calendar is well worth bookmarking in your cell phone's Internet browser...when a new month rolls around, give it a look and see if any of the flavors catch your fancy. I bet some will. And, they also have a beer float featuring Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout that has piqued my interest. Otherwise, just OK. But man, those shakes...

Ok tiny burgers at expensive prices. The shakes are good and that's it. Double shack burger (2/5) it was ok The chocolate shake (4/5) pretty good Overall if I'm craving a shake, I'll come back

I had the vegetarian mushroom burger - it comes lightly fried, stuffed with cheddar and Muenster cheese on a yummy bun with shack sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. My husband had the smoke shack burger - single it comes with cheese, bacon, shack sauce and then topped of with a spicy pepper sauce. He mentioned the meat being superb - perhaps because it's 100% grass fed and no additives, you can absolutely taste the difference in meat quality. The crinkle fries were fresh, hot, nice and crispy. I had the vanilla shake which was super yummy. My husband had the malted chocolate shake which he reluctantly let me try - piggy didn't want to share - it was delicious as well. I dare say this place is better than five guys.would definitely be back for a quick bite.

This is your typical burger joint. Buy some burgers, get some fries and enjoy a nice shake. I like coming here with a few friends since the environment is a little louder and more upbeat on busy nights. It's always a good time when my buddies and I get to enjoy the ping pong table as well. The burgers are pretty good, but the crinkle cut fries are definitely my favorite. I'm glad they went back to them after changing them a while back. The chocolate shake is always something I enjoy too... Just a little on the spendy side. Overall, love the restaurant and the food.

My god the switch back to crinkle cut fries made all the difference. I am born anew. Thank you shake shack.

Pros: Always stop by the shake shack in NYC, so had to swing by this Miami location while I was in town. The boyfriend and I both got shack burgers, fries, and shared a caramel milk shake. I like the decor; especially the tables make of reclaimed bowling alley flooring. The other customers seemed to get a kick out of the ping pong table; but we never took a turn. Cons: My burger was really undercooked. It was more pink than the boyfriend's burger. For days I was scared I would get food poisoning.

This place is so good. The best fast food burger I've ever had. So moist and flavorful. The shake was real good too. The beer was real tasty too. The fries were awful though. Still, they get 5 stars cause the burger was he best fast food burger ever.

OK, so I am gonna start off by saying that I was crazy excited when this place opened up and went when it first opened up (I had frequented the NYC ones quite frequently while up there) . I went again, this time considerably less hectic, with the hubby. OMG, did we just spend $30 on lunch for two?? Was what we asked ourselves once we got home. I ordered a Shackburger single patty and strawberry shake in a tiny cup, he got a hot dog and a caramel shake in a tiny cup, we both got fries. I felt a little bit robbed, but it was so good I didn't care at the time, I just gave the nice lady at the counter my debit card. However, Due to this, I will not be making this a regular jaunt for lunch. Wish list for this place: make the cups larger for the shakes (I know I sound like a fatty, but OMG, they are so good)

I don't know what the big deal with this burger place is all about. My sister and I tried going there when they first opend and there was no parking so we went down to Five Guys instead. A week later tried again and the same thing, I think they have a couple of dozen parking spaces, so we left. Finally this past weekend we went early enough and found parking, in fact way too may spaces???? I go by my first bite and I was not impressed. The fries seemed like the find I can buy in the frozen fooed section at Publix and make in my oven. My sister and I were not impressed. Wish we had gone down the street for Five Guys!

My husband and I went to the South Miami Shack Shake on Saturday. It was relatively busy so parking was a challenge. The prices are outrageous for what clearly looks like mediocre food, at best! I can get those crinkle fries from the frozen food section of my nearest grocery store for next to nothing and get WAY MORE in quantity than what Shake Shack shells out. I feel like this is clearly an insult to my intelligence. What a joke. Noticing that the food was not worth our time, we ordered 2 milk shakes instead, a chocolate and a strawberry. It came in the smallest cup I have ever seen...so small in fact I was prompted to take a photo. As if that wasn't disappointing enough, both shakes tasted completely average. I kept having to ask myself why we spent 12 dollars on school milk carton sized milk shakes when we could have done better at home?! No whipped cream, and no cherry on top. COMPLETE RIP-OFF! Johnny Rockets gives you much more for your money and tastes a million times better! Also prefer Steak and Shake. Will not go back to Shake Shack, ever. There's a Johnny Rockets and Five Guys next door with better prices and better quality! Don't waste your time, money, or appetite on Shake Shack!

Nice burger place. High quality ingredients and upscale fun atmosphere. Good addition to the local burger scene which has become ubiquitous with burger places. However, I'd still have to rank B&B as the best in town though. They are better with portion sizes, good prices, taste and healthy options. (chicken and turkey burgers) Unfortunately, Shake Shack offers ZERO lower calorie items on their menu...a BIG negative and discourages me from returning. I know burger places aren't the best for healthy eating, but give us some options, please!

I am a true fan of this place ever since I discovered it at its Lincoln Rd locations a few years back and was own over by its juicy, flavorful and melt in your mouth burgers and their creative shakes (the PB&J shake was the cherry popper). I find myself craving Shake Shack on random days and my willpower to eat healthy is weakened by the memories of the delicious double Shack Burger with a side of Pumpkin Shake which makes me drool at the thought. I wish they had more locations!

Just had the best tasting burger I've ever had.Was disappointed at the size though. It was more like the size of a kids burger. For the price I expected a regular size burger. The fries were extremely salty and nothing to write home about.

The Good: - Food tastes good. I've tried the coffee shake as well, I liked it. - Nice interior decor, private parking (albeit small) The Bad: - Although the cashier line was empty and our order was simple, it took about 10 minutes for the food to be prepared, despite a fully staffed kitchen. - Not very clean. Both the table area as well as the restrooms looked a bit neglected. The Ugly: - Portion size: my double hamburger with bacon, lettuce and tomato was smaller than a closed fist. My $6 coffee shake was served in a small cup, perhaps 4-5" high. Even my girlfriend, whom I tease for getting full with tiny portions and for never finishing her food was still hungry after eating her entire burger. She wound up ordering another one. First time I've ever seen her do this. - Prices: one tiny double hamburger with bacon and no cheese, one tiny veggie burger, a tiny coffee shake and tiny lemonade (no fries or any other side items) cost us around $25. We left quite disappointed and still hungry. For less money we'd have had a filling meal at Fuddruckers, complete with sweet potato fries (not served here) and enough leftovers to have a snack at home the size of our entire meal at Shake Shack. I can't recommend this place.

I'm not a huge burger person but I find myself craving Shake Shack once a week. Great ingredients and you can eat a burger and fries and leave not feeling sick. Recently tried one of their concretes and it was great. I would give them more stars if they offered coupons or deals every now and then.

Been here for the burgers and fries, always good. Burgers are juicy and fries hot and crispy. Today however we went for the frozen custard , omg, they are so good. You can pick from ready made mixes (coral crisp is really good with a mix of vanilla custard, peanut butter and crisps. I hose to do my own and for a chocolate custard with raspberry mix in, yummy. Parking is small but usually there is a spot available. Service is pretty fast and on point. Kid friendly and plenty sit down space inside. Clean location and friendly staff

I'm not gonna lie, this place is pretty good. I do have some pet peeves about it though. I'll start by saying that the food is good. Quality is slightly above justifying it as a fast food place. The pricing is ok. The one time I went, I spent almost $17 on a burger, cheese fries, and a shake. All of which, I could get at Johnny Rockets in bigger portions for $10-12. Besides that, the only other negative I have that I usually get with other places is paying separately for fries. It's just a pet peeve I have with any restaurant that does it. Not saying I would never come here again, but I'd say Red Robin's would be my first choice.

Shaaaaake shaaaaack. The New York legend comes to south miami. The shroom burger is the best (guiltiest) veggie burger you can get in miami. It's awesome. The shakes are simply delicious. The fries are just ok - they air cook them which is healthier apparently. Why on earth this place is concerned with what is healthy, I have no idea. I go here to get un-healthy dude.

Classic burger and fry joint. My favorite menu items are the SmokeShack burger (a cheeseburger with bacon and cherry-pepper relish sauce) and the cheese fries. They also offer shakes and ice cream with rotating flavors for each day of the week. Thursday they offer Fig and Goat Cheese Custard which is AWESOME. It sounds strange but it is delicious. They also serve beer and wine here. Their beer selection is not huge but they have some good options, none of your standard cheap Coors/Bud/Miller etc. As for nonalcoholic drinks I highly recommend the Draught Abita Root Beer. I'm not a big soda drinker but this is awesome. The service is pretty fast. Order at the counter, get a buzzer, collect your food. Even on a busy Friday night it only took about 5-10 minutes for our order to come out. Good place for a good burger (and then some).

I'm not sure of what I was expecting because I've never heard too much about it, but I was expecting like gourmet burgers status. What I got was a mix between McDonalds and In-N-Out Burger. I think it is upscale fast food at best & the burgers are pretty good for what they are. I had the Shack Burger with fries, chocolate ice cream and an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade). The burger was okay BUT I didn't taste the shack sauce which was suppose to be on the "Shack" burger..perhaps they forgot it. The fries literally looked like Ore-ida crinkle fries.....I'm pretty sure they were Ore-ida fries. Nonetheless, I like Ore-ida fries so they were good, but if I wanted those I could have just went to the supermarket. The ice cream was actually pretty good and YES I went to Shake Shack and did not get a shake BUT from what I observed..I'm pretty sure the shake is the same consistency as their ice cream. On the other hand the Arnold Palmer was quite disappointing. Pros: modern, good for dogs! (they have dog treats), good for kids, casual atmosphere, inside and outside seating, brightly lit, easy menu, good service, good for groups cons: overpriced for what is it (a burger and fries are almost $10..ore-ida fries and fast food burger..honestly. Then add a shake and it's around $15) For a better tasting burger for around the same price..just go to Friday's, honestly.

Who doesn't love creamy, melt in your mouth, ooozing....custard?? I have so much love for all things salted caramel these days and for the month of August, on Saturday's, they have this tasty little confectionery treat. Ohhhh, it was pure heaven! Oh, and the Shake Stack was pretty darn tasty too!

  • Natasha M.

I only came here because I had a $5 gift card. So when we had to pay the remaining balance of $16, I thought to myself......2 Shack burgers, 1 side of fries and 1 milkshake cost about $20. That's way too much for a burger that is OK. I probably won't be back unless someone decides they want to pay for me. The service was friendly though.

    (3)
  • Alex S.

The burgers are good, everything comes on potato buns, which are awesome. I also tried a Shack-cago dog today and it was awesome. I was recently in Chicago for a spell and I didn't have time to check out an official Chicago style hot dog, but I'm certain Shake Shack does it justice. The crinkle cut french fries are a personal favorite of mine, they're made from yukon potatoes and they aren't soggy. The prices aren't terrible, but they are a little high. Dinner for two cost $30. That's more than I'd care to spend on fast-foodish dinner, but It was fast, it was fresh, it tasted good, and it filled me up, so I can't be too angry about that! It's been open for 3 days and I've been twice, so I'm sure I'll be in often.

Their burgers are pretty horrible, we went once and wouldn't go back. Very overpriced and no better than most fast food places. If you want good burgers head to Burgers & Beers or Fuddruckers. Don't even consider this place. I'm surprised they're still in business.

  • Tracy B.

This was my first time going to Shake Shack. My take: over-priced for what you get, but relatively edible food. The burger I had was ok. I would agree with other reviewers that it's a little better than McDonalds, but not up to the standard of Five Guys, etc. My main complaint was that the bun seemed soggy and very chewy. It was not soft and fresh-tasting. Also, my burger had a slightly bitter taste. I don't know if this was from the shack sauce or if perhaps the line cook was a bit too heavy-handed with the liquid smoke. The milkshake was good, but not extraordinary. I was more annoyed that I ordered hot fudge on top, which I didn't realize they had forgotten until I had already left. Overall, the building was clean and the staff was nice. This place ok, but not nearly as great as it's hyped up to be. I was shocked that a large milkshake costs $8! Seriously, do not waste your money. Just go down the street to McDonalds or Dairy Queen and get the same shake for less than half the cost. Trust me, you won't be able to taste the difference.

  • Suzette F.

S.L.O.W! Burgers were flavorful and juicy. Fries done right, served hot with a tasy cheese sauce. Took 25 minutes which I guess is ok for being somewhat busy. But then what was a decent experience turned awful when we made the line again for dessert. 45 minutes (!) for a scoop and a concrete. There is a line apparently for the sole purpose of expediting desserts, but that clearly was not working. 45 minutes and it was a staff person who finally asked us what we were waiting for and "expedited" our dessert. Such a disappointment I am not sure we will risk it again.

This place is worth a try. It is pricey for what you get. The burgers and hot dogs are inventive, but didn't wow me. The shakes were worth every penny. The location is great for students, but if you are going out of way to get here know that parking is a hassle. Good luck with that.

Order the cheese fries and a shack burger! This place is fun for a weekend lunch out with friends. Delicious food and great shakes to top it off. I personally love the U Malt or the chocolate malt shake.

  • Daniel C.

They should just call this place "trendy hipster burger". I payed over $15 for a greasy crappy burger that was smaller than a McDonalds burger, a chocolate malt that tasted like a poorly mixed nesquik, and a tray of Ore-Ida crispy krinkles. I know that the place is all fair trade and the cows are giving the right to vote and all that, but all the political and social correctness in the world could save this experience . I wouldn't eat here again for free. Hell, I wouldn't let my dog eat here! Now to be fair, my vegetarian girlfriend liked the portobello burger, but my "shack burger" was a "2" on a scale of 1 to 10 . Next time, I'll drive a little bit further to Irish Times or just go to duffy's if I want a real hamburger. Heck, I could just go up the block to Wendy's and call it a night.

The place looks really nice in the outside. I ordered a fudge Sundae and it looked super crappy. Mc Donald's sundaes are way better. Don't recommend this place for ice cream.

Good basic burger, but what can you expect from a fast food restaurant. Don't get me wrong the hamburger is as good as it can get on a fast food restaurant. The fries also are good, but there I prefer McDonald's. Great shakes. Service is fast, but you have to wait a few minutes as the burgers are not in the "holding pattern",a plus for me. There is good parking, that's a plus as compared to the 5 guys place nearby. So a good addition to the Miami fast food burger scene.

I had been looking forward to eating at this Shake Shack as soon as I heard one was opening right across the street. I decided to try it a few weeks after it opened, as the parking is extremely limited and it seemed to be constantly crowded all day long. When I went, I was able to park without having to wait. But my experience quickly went downhill. I ordered the mushroom burger, cheese fries, and a peanut butter milkshake. My total was 17 dollars. I was so surprised at the cost that I asked the cashier if he was sure, and I even checked the math when I got my receipt because it seemed way too expensive for what it is. I wasn't ready to give up, however, so I figured the food would be worth it. I was so disappointed. My burger was smaller than any burger I've seen, the fries were very average and the cheese tasted like melted nacho cheese from a bowling alley. And the shake was in a tiny cup and definitely didn't taste like anything special. I could have spent that amount of money or less on a sit down meal at a different restaurant. I didn't even finish my hamburger because it was very greasy and I felt full after just 5 bites. I definitely won't be eating here again, Five Guys is cheaper and better tasting and its right down the street. If the prices were drastically lowered at Shake Shack, then maybe I'd go for something quick and easy to eat, but 17 dollars is simply ridiculous for the quality/size of food they give.

Great burger joint! They offer beer and wine and the burgers were delicious.. Not too big and the fries were perfect. Vanilla custard shake was to die for.. Will be trying the red velvet shake next

Smokehouse burger is my favorite. Fries must have cheese on them. Milkshakes or custards are a MUST. Shake shack is consistently good, I have never had a complaint with the flavors here. It would be nice if prices were lower....especially for shakes....it's 5 bucks for a pretty small shake. The shake is delicious however! Definately recommend everyone give this place a shot ...just come in knowing that your meal will probably cost you 15 bucks and not be huge. It'll be tasty tho. There is a rokbrgr not too far from this location. Prices of rok and shake shack are similar....but in terms of taste....shake shack will leave you satisfied.

Disclaimer, I don't like hamburgers. (Don't kill me). But I tag along with my fiance, brother in law and my dad on their burger adventures. Shake Shack had somewhat of a hype leading up to it, and per my guys didn't exactly deliver. My daughter and I had the hot dog. A kids and a regular (same size, different price fyi) It was a decent size and the bread seemed fresh. Had the vanilla shake and it was an average vanilla shake. The guys had their burgers, but weren't wow'd and haven't had any request to come back. Overall way too expensive. Not enough indoor seating. We'll stick with smashburger down the street.... BTW parking SUCKS.

I think I died and went to Burger heaven on Saturday. We went at an off hour so the wait wasn't too long. We each ordered a shack burger and shared an order of cheese fries, cheese on the side because my sister doesn't like cheese (who doesn't like cheese?!) and a Shackmeister beer for each of us. Fine, the burger is on the small side, but it was so good! From the soft bread to the juicy burger to the fresh tomatoes & lettuce and the shack sauce....delicious! I was taking tiny bites so I wouldn't finish it so quickly. The crinkle fries were crispy and hot, and the cheese sauce was amazing. My cheese-hating sister loved it. We didn't try any of the sweets but for sure next time I'll be having a shake or a concrete. Until then, I'll dream of my juicy burger and those cheese fries.

Delicious burgers, yummy shakes. A little pricey for the shakes but they were very good. I noticed they were dog friendly, so we took the dog with us. They were extremely friendly and asked TWICE if I needed water for her. They also had a doggy "ice cream" treat that my dog loved. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back. My only suggestion would be that they get the metal things you can screw to the wall for your guests to loop their leashes around, since they obviously cater to pet owners.

The burgers are good/decent at best. Crinkle cut fries are horrible. Just like old cafeteria fries as mentioned in another review. Custard is good but weirded me out because it didn't know if it wanted to be ice cream or a milkshake. The reason for 2 instead of 3 stars was the ridiculous price. I won't be going back

decided to try this place out because the lot always seems full. ordered a shack stack with fries. the burger was so small it was devoured within 5 bites. served with lettuce tomatoes pickles onions and shack sauce which is 1000 island dressing lol. no special toppings to customize your burger either. I figured it's called shake shack not burger shack. p.s. they don't even have hot sauce !!

One word: CUSTARD. I am from the midwest where many towns have mom and pop custard stores that are only open during the warm seasons. I has always amazed me that I could not find places like this in South Florida since it is warm all the time! A few weeks ago I was really craving custard so I started looking for places online. I read about Shake Shack and knew it had a location in Miami Beach, but was pleasantly surprised they recently opened a location in Coral Gables! When you walk in there is an employee that greets you and hands you a menu before you walk to the counter to order. The employees were so nice (customer service is very important to me), but I could also tell they enjoyed working they and were happy...so it has a good atmosphere. I sampled the vanilla custard and it was just what I had been craving!!!!!!! I ordered a cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, and 2 pints of vanilla custard to go. I waited a few minutes in a booth (made out of reclaimed wood) and they have several TVs you can watch while you wait. The place was very clean and nice-looking. My wait was short and they kindly reviewed my order with me and I was ready to go! The cheeseburger and hotdog were good (I just wish they had another cheese option...they only have American), fries were good, and the custard was, as I mentioned, amazing!!! For those of you who haven't had custard, it has a richer flavor, but is about the same "nutritionally" as ice cream. However, my craving is always satisfied with a much smaller serving of custard since it has a richer flavor. They have chocolate custard as well as a "flavor of the day", a lot of toppings mix-ins...but I am a purist and prefer simple vanilla. I am very happy this place is open! Tip: it doesn't really stand out on US1 because of the light green color of the building and I don't think google maps has it on there yet, so make sure you know the address and watch carefully!

Went to the South Miami SS. First off you get there and the parking situation is bad, not enough stalls. Burgers are tasty but small and not that many condiments or ingredients to choose from. Fries are of your average crinkle cut cafeteria variety. Everything's a bit overpriced if you ask me.

It was ok. Nothing to rave about. I went in hoping for the best Oreo Shake and was disappointed to hear they don't make them. The cashier told me the fudge is comprable and wouldn't disappoint. Uh, yeah, it was gross. 3 sips later, it was trashed. My to go order was $14 and the only salvageable item was the Burger. Hope they read their reviews and get their act together. The location is great and they have a lot of potential.

Tiny burger, sterile fries and a "frozen custard" that tastes like Edys ice cream...no table service and over priced.

Burgers are tasty, and well sized. Shakes are ok, (unfortunately I've been spoiled with better.) Wouldn't go here again unless someone else wanted to go.

I give 3 starts because of the limited menu. I know it looks like a lot but actually ther are very few options. Also my personal like with fries is sweet potato fries...even bk sells them now. The burger was good but the price for a burger and shake will cost you at least $9...the shake is more expensive than the burger?! Overall i gave 3 because it was fresh but they have to step the menu up and also offer shakes at a lower price even if its a kiddie size...before i commit to paying $5 for a shake i want to make sure i LOVE it.

Probably the worst burger i have had in a long time. This place is a big hype!

My first impression was not great. Not a good value. Smallish burger (i had a single ShackBurger) very under cooked and shake. The bill was over $10. When I showed the under cooked burger to to staff - I was told that's the way they cookem. I did like the Peanut Butter shake, but its size for over $5 was too small. I don't think I'll be back. 5 Guys down the street much better burgers.

Shake Shack has become a classic. Sometimes all you need after a drunken day on the boats or a long night out at the clubs. Delicious shakes, fries, etc. Not the healthiest, but it works pretty well. This is a big location but things run fairly smoothly.

I first tried Shake Shack a few weeks after the opening of the Coral Gables location. It was very crowded and seating indoors was limited. Parking was a bit of a disaster since the Shake Shack lot is very small and is next to another lot that is private. Despite the small Looking size of the regular burger, it was made with high quality ingredients and was very filling. The fries are thick crinkle cut and cooked just right. Don't forget to ask for your free custard if you are a UM student or employee!

Burgers are small, fries taste like cardboard, and shakes are nothing special. I HATE McDonald's and never eat there but I think I would've been better off going there. Got a burger for my 2 little ones to split and it was tiny, not enough to fill them. I ordered a mushroom burger and there was only a tiny bit of mushroom in it. It was mostly cheese and grease. Hubby got a hotdog and said the ones at a stadium are far better, and that's not saying much. The cashier was greeted us with "sup." No "hi, can I take your order?" And by far the worst part, my daughter found a big chunk of plastic in her shake! Avoid this place at all costs.

This place is fantastic EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You can expect for your food to taste the same today as it will 1 or 2 years from now. I have been going to this location since it opened. I even went to the Grand Opening where they gave out free craft beers, food and coozies. I order the same burger every time as well, the Double Shack burger. I swear to you that the first one I ate their years ago tasted exactly like the one I had the other day, like victory!

I increased my rating by one star. They improved the fries somewhat, although they are not really as good as twice-fried fries should be. I would still take Five Guys fries over these. Over time, my opinion of the food has improved. The prices are still pretty crazy.

Did not disappoint as usual.. portion size needs work though! Burger and fries and Im never full.. sometimes I'll order a hot dog as well but $18 is pretty ridiculous for a burger fries and hot dog.. btw I'm a 108-pound female so it's not like I'm a huge muscley dude who eats his weight's worth in food Shakes are pretty heavy.. I can never finish them. I do love that Portobello mushroom cap oozing with ooey gooey cheese though. So you are forgiven. The only reason I keep coming back!

2 stars at the very best, nothing more. there is nothing particularly special about shake shack. at all. the 'shack sauce' is mayonnaise and too much of it makes for an ultra salty tasting burger, which was the case for me. eeeek. the vanilla shake, while good, was overpriced for its small size. the fries were noticeably from a frozen bag and put to fry. nothing special about that!

Aw man, that was my reaction ... We spent $30 bucks on mediocre burgers. I tried the single shake shack burger and the double shack stack . The single shake shack burger was okay for it's price nothing too special. The shack stack which had the shroom patty was the only reason I gave this place a three that sandwich was great :), I recommend trying it but warning it's a 10 buck burger. The cheese fries were disappointing I was hoping for great fries but they were soggy and the cheese tasted a bit weird. Vanilla shake was good as well.

Impressive burger and peanut butter shake. I had a daily special burger that was the regular Shack burger topped with shallots. The fries were perfectly cooked. This place did not quite end up in the elite burger joint status as In-N-Out and Dick's Drive in.

One of my favorite burgers in all of Miami! I agree that a single burger is not filling, but it does taste great! I'd like to have other cheese options but would defiantly recommend. Milk shakes are also great!

Shake Shack provides quality food over quantity. Although I can understand the struggle between quality vs. Quantity, if the portions were a little bigger than this place would be amazing. The burgers were excellent but for the price, quantity is definitely overlooked. I can easily compare the size to a McDonalds 49 cent cheeseburgers. If you want to fill yourself up, this place is not it. As for the shakes, they are very thick and rich. The fries are fresh cut and nicely salted. They are very tasteful. The staff is very sweet and helpful, especially since they deal with such a pretentious crowd.

I am a burger freak! Went there with friends and all were very disappointed. Everything was super greasy and wimpy. Overpriced and just plain a waste. Wendy's is better. I would rank Fuddrucker's and Hole in the Wall as the standard and SS a wannabe. I remember when the site was Hojos and a real meal. Kind of a cold atmosphere more like an Eyeglass shop.

Wasn't really feeling this place. I had heard great things about this place from friends, but to me, the good wasn't anything to call home about. Don't get me wrong: the service was great and the place itself was very clean. The food itself, however, left something to be desired. I am not a big foodie. I'll east fast food and won't complain, but if I'm going to spend more than a few bucks on a burger, it had better be good. The one I ordered here could have been passed off as a frozen patty: dry, unseasoned, and very thin. The toppings were fresh enough, but unsatisfactory meat can kill a burger quickly. It may have just been a lemon, but for the $8 price tag, it wasn't worth it. In addition, they seemed to be very skimpy on the fries, which didn't seem much different than what I could make at home in my oven. Since this is a completely a la carte restaurant, the meals get expensive fast. I think I'll go one more time, but unless that burger blows me away, I won't be recommending this place. Change the food up (or make it more consistent) and I think it could be great. One more thing: put your soda fountain in the dining room and not behind the counter. It is so much easier on your guests, especially when your employees are already very busy taking orders!

Just like Central Park in NYC without the two hour wait. I would have given five stars, however there new fries were cold, so I don't know if I really like them or not! Shake Shack is the closest thing to In n Out burgers and they are great. If you complain about the price, then go back to McDonald's or Burger King and pay .30 cents less for 100% beef (yes, a cow is 100% beef, so you guess what parts they use)!

If you want an awesome juicy burger crispy fries and a great shake you must absolutely come to this place.. I'm so happy they put one close to my house I come here atleast twice a month and there custard are so yummy.. The service has always been nice. There are TVs all around and the food is always fresh. Oh and if you have a dog they also have a doggy menu.. And also inexpensive... They have outdoor sitting and it's great place to hang with friends and have a great meal... absolutely recommend this place.

Even with celiacs and being Gluten Free I still crave a burger, minus the bun. The one thing I do love about shake shack are their fries AND their shakes. Burgers are just OK to me, I do always get it with the hot cherry peppers! AND I also get extra hot peppers and mix it with my ketchup with pepper for my fries. My favorite shake is Chocolate and Peanut Butter! They use REAL PB not the sauce that is even more processed and usually has wheat in it. So I can actually have a shake I love! ALSO their fryers only fry fries so no cross contamination! It's not the same as NY, but when I'm missing NY, its a great fix!

Best fast food burger I've had. After returning to L.A. I wanted a double shack burger so bad. Went to in&out to satisfy my needs, but that didn't work. (FYI in&out is THE burger place to go in the US) oh, and forget about 5guys they are a joke in California. If anyone would rather goto 5guys please start traveling and upgrade your pallet. A double shack burger is double the price of a "in&out double double" but it taste twice as good. I'd still prefer in&out fries though. I also prefer this location compared to Miami beach. Larger, more seating, free parking, less wait.

Amazing burger! I decided to go with the double Shack burger with bacon and my taste buds nearly exploded! Fries were thin and crispy, delicious! Only waited 5 minutes for our order! If you haven't or wondering whether to come, get up now and do yourself a favor and head on over!

Shake Shack borders between 2 and 3 stars IMO. I can sum up my review in a sentence, and it's pretty much in line with what others have already written: Tasty food that really hits the spot, but small portions, a limited menu and the place is overpriced. That's the summary. I'd heard a lot of hype about Shake Shack's Lincoln Road location when it first opened but I'd never made it there. Several months ago I saw that Smoke't Southern Kitchen here on US-1 just below the Gables had closed, and later saw a "coming soon" sign for Shake Shack and I was looking forward to its opening. A few of us stopped at this restaurant on a recent Sunday for dinner. Though the parking lot was full (the last space just opened up as we were pulling in), the restaurant itself was maybe at 1/2 capacity if that. I looked at the large menu board which basically takes up an entire wall, and immediately was underwhelmed by the options. You've got a choice of 4 types of burgers (one being a "build your own"), a mushroom burger for the vegetarians, a hot dog prepared in one of 4 ways, and fries. That's it. That's the entire food menu. Actually, their drink and custard offerings take up a full 2/3 of the menu at this restaurant. To their credit, they do have a respectable beer/wine selection and they also have a few items on the menu for their 4 legged, furry patrons. My order was relatively simple; a single Shake Burger, an order of fries and a vanilla milkshake. Those 3 items totaled nearly $14. While I thought the prices of the burger ($4.80) and fries ($2.70) were OK, as others mentioned, the portions aren't very large. The shake itself was especially small (looked like maybe a 12 or 14 ounce cup to me) and at just under $6, was way overpriced. To be honest, I thought the flavor was similar to a traditional DQ shake, where you'll pay 1/2 the price for double the size. It should also be noted that, even though the place wasn't very full and there seemed to be a small army of people back in the glass enclosed kitchen putting the orders together, my wait was at least 5 or 6 minutes before my food was ready. With a 5 Guys less than a block away also on US-1, it'll be interesting to see if there's enough business to support both burger joints, especially when this one delivers an experience that's pretty much "meh" at best.

If your mantra for a good burger is "the greasier the better" than this is your place.I haven't been able to eat another burger since I left this place; I'm sure my arteries are thanking me. FYI the fries are not the same crinkle cut fries in all of these Yelp pictures.

Shake Shack is best compared to a theme park. Long lines, larger-than-life prices, and quick thrill rides that are over in a matter of minutes. First off, the pricing. A whopping $6.25 (a double is $8.80!) for a burger that's the portion of one from Five Guy's. The fries, about $3 and a drink runs you about $3-5 depending on what you get (soda, beer, etc.). That's easily 12-something with tax, maybe more, for a tiny burger and stale fries. Its your typical order and sit down set-up (Five Guy's, Fuddruckers), dressed up to look a little more unique and with significantly longer wait times. Also, this was a bit random: treats for dogs, which I've never really seen before. I can define the Smoke Shack burger as one of my all-time favorite cheeseburgers. A single (or double) patty topped with bacon and chopped cherry peppers. The fries, on the other hand? Probably one of the all-time worst. Crinkle cut, pre-made, sitting on a warm light fixture, my fries were stale and at room temperature by the time I reached the table. People swear by the shakes, but I can't say I'm a shake + burger kind of guy. Gimme a beer or soda. I wish I could give Shake Shack the four stars, because the burger is really tasty. But at those prices, and the timid fries, I can't. I just can't.

Ordered a key lime shake expecting how it's made in the shake shack in Miami Beach with large chunks of pie but south miami shake shack you disappoint.. Just one piece of pie crust, should of just ordered a vanilla shake instead...

I've visited the Shake Shack on Sobe which was great, and this is my first time vIsiting the South Miami location. The Smoke Shack burger was pretty tasty, the house merlot was nice too. Kiddo had the chocolate shake which was thick and chocolaty... pretty yummy. We also got the cheese fries to share, not so great. The cheese was a thin watery version of gas station nacho cheese. Luckily there wasn't much on there. Unlucky i paid extra for it. The fries without any cheese were crispy and nice.... better on their own. About this location, it's a Friday night and there are a lot of families with kids here... really loud kids running around with louder parents telling them to eat. Even my kIddo was getting annoyed and commented. It's sort of like eating at a Chuckie Cheese. And I don't even mean that in a negative way. If you're a parent with small kids that tend to run around and kind of rambunctious, then you'll feel comfortable being able to take them out to eat here... and there aren't a lot of places like that so that's good for parents with kids like that who want to go out with them. It's a bit too much for us though, so I'll probably order to go next time. All in all, the burger was tasty and so was the shake. For that I'll return and try more varieties.

What really gives Shake Shack four stars is the taste of their SmokeShack burgers, which are absolutely delicious. Always order the double unless you're a kid or you really just want a snack. The decor is great, the service is always nice and on point, and their shakes are delicious. The only problem is the price. It's a little steep, even for the area, and especially for the size of their burgers. I would recommend to Shake Shack not to be afraid to beef them up a little. But I'll keep going back, because something they're putting in those burgers makes me crave them all the way from Hialeah. PS: The normal fries and cheese fries must absolutely be tried. Especially the cheese fries. No matter which Shake Shack I'm eating at or how much cheese they put on them, the fries are always perfectly crispy and the cheese always perfectly distributed and melted. Truly delicious and definitely worth the $3.70. The price for this one is not so bad at all.

This place is wayyyyyy overrated. Waited such a long time for an over-priced tiny burger. I could have eaten three burgers considering how small they were. The shakes were pretty good however they are not worth the price. This place is successful strictly off of their name and I will NOT go BACK!

I first became acquainted with this chain while on vacation in New York. They have a bunch of locations in Manhattan, and I've been to a few of them.So when I heard they were opening one in Miami, not far from my in-laws, I was psyched. Obviously, this is an awesome place for a burger. But this is so much more than your typical burger place. For one thing, there's the option to get sausage, or chicken sausage, or a fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster cheese. Let's focus on that last part for a moment. It was at this location that I became acquainted with the Shack Stack, which is a cheeseburger topped with one of those delicious fried portobello mushrooms. When you bite into it, a river of hot melted cheese comes pouring out. It is truly amazing. I don't know if I will ever been able to order anything else. Also great to try are their cheese fries and any of their shakes. You won't be disappointed!

There are a lot of trendy burger places in the Big Sleazy. This one is pretty darn good. It has a limited selection of burgers and a few nice hot dog items, along with a portobello burger that was excellent. They have a variety of great shakes and a draught root beer off the tap this is brewed by one of their beer suppliers. AWESOME. I nick it a star for insanely small parking for such a big building, and for the fries which are your standard-issue crinkle cuts. Surely for a place with a decor and a menu this imaginative, they can dig up fresher, hipper fries.

Finally made it to Shake Shack a couple of days ago and was eager to write this review because it did not meet my expectations at all. And like Paul W said, I wanted to try it out due to all the hype that had been circling around SS. Anyway, my order was simple too a single Shack Burger, shared fries and a strawberry lemonade. The burger tasted good the first couple of bites but, after consuming more of it, it just became really salty with each new bite I took! The fries were also very salty and were the "crinkle" type you can buy frozen at any supermarket. Terrible! The best part of the "meal" was the Strawberry lemonade! My son had the chocolate shake and although was good it WAS extremely overpriced! I don't mind paying almost $6 for a good shake such as the one at Kilwin's which is double the size, but their mini one does not deserve the same price tag. I hope they reinvent some of their menu items and get it together cause 5 Guys is within walking distance to them and SS does not come even close to the quality burgers 5G offer! The customer service was also lacking enthusiasm, friendliness and had no kind of spirit. They look like they didn't even want to be there!

I went to the Shake Shack location on Lincoln Road after hearing people rave about Shake Shack. I thought maybe my experience there wasn't as fantastic because of the hype, so when I was in the area and saw this location, I thought I'd give them another try.... Yeah, still unimpressed. For a whopping $10, I got a smallish burger, an order of crinkle fries, and a small drink. Robbery. The burger was ok, but nothing out of this world. A little too greasy for my taste actually. The fries are just as Arwen L. described- school cafeteria fries. Some were too crunchy, some soggy, and overall not very appetizing. I just can't get into this place like so many have. It's overpriced for mediocre fast food.

Went here a few weeks ago with my husband and son. My dad is crazy and read about this chain in the NY times awhile ago and told us it was supposed to be amazing, trendy, and have a line out the door. So I was happily surprised that its a not so busy fast style burger place that is completely kid friendly. The shakes are delish, the burgers are just average. It's better than a fast food burger but for the price I think you can find many a better burger in Miami. I'd stop in again to grab a shake though.

With the rise of all these fancy burger places, I am very happy to have a place like shake shack that keeps a burger down to its bare essentials; a beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a bun. Don't get me wrong, I do love all the exotic toppings and what not, but sometimes I just crave a delicious old fashioned burger, and shake shack never lets me down. First off, the staff are always friendly, they always seem to be delighted to take my order....even though that probably is not the case. I usually go with the shake stack, which is their cheeseburger and shroom burger put together. The beef patties are always juicy and full of beef flavor and the mushroom is fried to perfection! I love biting into it and tasting the cheese sauce oozing out of the mushroom into the bottomless pit I call my mouth. The tomato and lettuce always have that crisp freshness to it and I love how it is all sandwiched between two fluffy pillows they call buns. The fries are really good too, although the cheese sauce (which is the same one in the mushroom) can taste kinda artificial sometimes on the fries. I know that is odd because I love it in my burger, but on the fries its just meh. I usually opt for the regular golden potatoey fries, can't go wrong with them. They have frozen custards which you can either make a shake with them, throw a bunch of delicious goodies in to customize your own frozen custard, or pick one of the pre-made frozen heavens they have on the menu, you can't go wrong. All of them are delish. I go here regularly and will continue to do so until I die of a heart attack.

I tried to love this place.. But, Nope I didn't. Ordered a burger, cheese fries(saw the great reviews on it) and a strawberry shake.. For$20....... WAT. Thinking you get what you pay for.. I was quite excited for the food..- The burger is really oily and the fries are WAYYYY too salty.. After a few bites I think I just fulfilled my sodium and cholesterol intake for the rest of the month.. Two stars for the decor and the"hormone free" pledge..

This review is ONLY for my experience with the SHACK STACK burger. Yum! The deep fried portobello mushroom filled with melty gooey cheese was perfect, and the burger patty was nothing special but pretty good. The restaurant is clean inside and has good ambiance. My main complaint was the price ($9.67 for shack stack). It's not a huge burger so that price is a little steep, but I think it's worth it for a craving only because of the mushroom. Side note: I was excited to try Shake Shack but gotta say, In N Out wins hands down. It's just in a different league! I don't think I'll ever find such fresh, consistent, delicious burgers at the most reasonable price anywhere else (West Coast best coast!!) Shack Sauce can't compare to In N Out spread. And just like 5 Guys, overpriced and not all that special, except for that fried mushroom.

This was my first visit to shake shack and while it was enjoyable it was nothing too memorable. I ordered a cheeseburger (can't remember the exact name they give it) some cheese fries and a 50/50 (half tea half lemonade) to drink. Honestly the best part of the burger was the cheese they use. The bun was overly buttered which just made it messy and didn't increase the flavor. The cheese fries were nice and crunchy and the cheese was yummy but beware this order is more than enough to share. The drinks are definitely over prices so I would skip that if I visit again. The parking lot is also way too small so you end up having to park down the block. Like I said it was good but I won't find myself craving a burger from here or going out of my way to go back.

I LOVE BURGERS. this location is new, the hours are til 11pm, not midnight (like they have posted) I order a ShackBurger, Fries, and a vanilla milkshake... all ordered a-la-cart style... came to $15. Ridiculous since I was not full after that meal. The Burger is tiny, nothing special either. The Milkshake is probably as small if not smaller than my fist... $5.50. The Fries looked like Cafeteria style fries (as my friend described). nothing special. Will I go back? probably (by peer pressure) but not by my first choice. or second. or third... If you like burgers try B&B or even 5 guys is better than this... in my opinion... the few good thing about this trip was that I had a friendly cashier... dog/pet friendly (outside water dishes & sells dog treats)... I liked that their tables are made from old Bowling Lanes. Recycle! oh also, I would encourage car-pooling, their parking lot is rather small as well.

As a former New Yorker I was always jealous of my friends checking into Shake Shack. When I heard of the one in South Beach I went on a sweltering summer day and was not impressed. I assumed they had a bad day but wasn't trying to go to South Beach for a burger. I waited out the opening of the Coral Gables at the now defunct Smoke't location and gave them a try. Verdict is that they are okay. I am not a burger person, but with so many "boutique" burger shops opening up I'm slowly learned to like them. The single shackburger with extra shack sauce is good, I don't think it's too small it's just that these days people are used to huge unhealthy portion sizes. The crinkle fries are also just okay until you drape them in the beautiful cheese sauce! This is why I will continue to go Shack Shack. The Cheese Sauce! Haven't had the opportunity to try the shakes, but the regular lemonade is a good choice.

Overpriced. Underwhelming. Chocolate shake was awful (didn't finish more than a third of it before abandoning, when do you ever not finish a shake?!). Fries decent, but small portion. Burger was flavorful and nicely topped but relatively small for the price compared to local competition. Hot dog (their version of chicago style) was pretty good and about the only part of the experience I found favorable... Stay away and spend your money elsewhere...

I love me some Shake Shack! I was so excited when I found out that this location was opening because its much closer to my house than the one at the beach. I used to love going to the Shake Shack in Madison Square Garden when I lived in NYC so this brought back great memories. This location is missing the ambiance of eating in the park in NYC, but it certainly doesn't lose anything when it comes to food. Their burgers and shakes are just as good as I remember. I always keep it classic and go with the original shack burger...a double, of course. As far as shakes go, I usually get the special shake of the day...most recently I had caramelized peach which was delightful. I have also tried out the key lime pie custard which was an awesome treat. The only draw back is the food is pretty pricey. If you get a burger (a double like me), fries (with cheese sauce....is there any other way?!), and a shake...you are easily paying $15. For fast food (arguably fast food), thats kind of expensive. But I guess its a good deterrent to not eat it every day...so I don't pack on the pounds.

I love, love, love the food here. One of the best burgers I've ever had. The meat is super juicy and the burger sauce is delicious. Ohhh and the shakes there, amazing. I completely recommend the peanut butter shake. Out-of-this-world. I go back every few weeks and it never disappoints. FYI it's not the cheapest place in the world, but I don't mind paying for good quality food. Also, the portions aren't the largest, but I always walk out very satisfied and never uncomfortably full.

A staple of New York that first came to Miami on South Beach. Now they are near the Gables which is great because I live over in Dadeland so the drive is not too far. They took over the failed BBQ place that was on US-1. Even though there is plenty of room to sit, the place was packed and I had to wait probably 20 min from the time I stood in line to the time I got my food. Apparently the word is out and word is good. The burger was perfectly cooked and has a great sauce that they put on top. The fries are delicious and even though you would have a coke or beer with a burger, I would recommend going with one of their unique shakes. They are very good.

Don't see the big deal either.food is overpriced.i gave it three stars because they have a ping pong table.it was fun I played for a while.dont order the strawberry lemonade unless you feel like drinking a bag of sugar.menu is limited.

Finally a shake shack closer to home! Went during opening week and the line was nothing but long and crazy! I must say the people working here are very nice and friendly just like the south beach location but i hope the lines go down sometime soon. It took 20 minutes standing in line and 15-20 to get the food as well. Honestly, I dont care though, shake shack is worth the wait.. get your ass over here!

    (4)
  • Chad B.

I don't know what the big deal about this place. Way over priced. The place was packed and I thought it would be an amazing burger. It was weak. Next time I'm in south Miami there are better places to stop. Not gonna stop here again. I gave it a shot. 2 stars at best.

    (2)
  • Maxine V.

So I finally made it back here and can't say that I will ever be back again. The parking was fine even though the lot is small. Inside the "menu" is sparse. Basically there were three options for burgers, three types of hotdogs, some extras (fries, shakes, etc). Actually, now that I think about it, for a place called "Shake Shack" they didn't have a big shake menu either. Everything was way overpriced given the tiny portions. A single stack cheese burger was $5ish, a double stack was $8 something. These aren't big, 1lb burgers that leave you feeling uncomfortably full (such as Fuddruckers); they're closer in size to your average McDonald's dollar menu burger. The "regular" size soda is about the same sizer as a McD's kids happy meal but cost the same as a super-size with NO REFILLS. The fries are also over priced and taste bland. The burger was good enough but I would have been equally satisfied going to a drive-through for a a fraction of the price and time (it takes them a while to prep the food so you're waiting around until your buzzer goes off) So the questions remains, why should I come back here when any drive through is competition?

Way better than a McDonalds! Less greasier than a Johnny Rockets! I have to admit that I have only been to one other Shake Shack (the one on Lincoln Road), and it made me wonder why is there a bunch of "hooplah" over this place? Why? - Their service is efficient. They have a line for ordering cold foods and regular food which makes the service go by faster. - Their burgers aren't too greasy. - Their cheese fries are amazing-- I liked how the cheese didn't harden in most places. What didn't I like? - The price. It is a little bit overpriced, but oh well. It's okay quality. What really grossed me out is that they serve dog treats, and I have to say if I am eating a nice burger I don't want to be bothered by a bunch of dogs. Just saying.. However, it's a nice classic burger for the above average price, and they serve beer and have TV's, so it would be a nice family place for watching sporting games.

Shake Shack is awesome, but the new fries get 1 star. The old crinkle-cut fries were much, much better. I won't be ordering fries anymore here.

    (1)
  • Jaime B.

Overall quality has gone done since it first opened. Place has a reputation of a semi-gourmet treat but the decrease in quality is noticeable, in fact the long lines on the weekends are completely gone - I wonder why. Cleanliness is another issue, tables always feel nasty greasy. I love Shake Shack, I just think this particular location is not up to par to other SS locations. Hope they fix it.

    (2)
  • Katy S.

Not really sure how anyone can dislike this place! I first discovered SS with my boyfriend in Madison Square Park, NY. OMG!!! We fell in love and when I saw it came to Miami, we just HAD TO go back! I love it. The burgers are very juicy, the key to a perfect burger. We got the one with bacon & cheese...yum! The cheese fries are amazing...even though they definitely do remind me of those I was served in grade school lol but who cares! The shake's are super good too. Unfortunately I can't go that often because I'm on a strict diet but if I wasn't on it, I'd be there every week! I'm definitely a fan!

Very good burger, but overpriced. My rating is based on the pricing only. Burger: 4/5 Price: 2/5

A burger and a shake. American staples that can be found cross county and made in infinite ways all to you and your establishments content. With that in mind I don't expect much of a meal like this but to have the shakes thick and delicious and the burgers juicy and tasty. The place is designed nicely and has plenty of room. Parking might be limited on nights with a good crowd. I ordered a shake burger and some fries and a shake. Pricing is a bit on the higher end side(picture glamorous fast food). When receiving the burger it's figure is a small but compact little sucker that if you stare at it hard it might start trembling(lol jk). It was tasty but didn't have me eating it with conviction.Fries look like your ordinary run of the mills but tasted good, the shakes do not disappoint but small little cups don't cut it guys. Overall it's a cool place and I would recommend. It's a bit expensive for what it is in my mind and I feel for a bit more you can have a well made burger at another eatery. But if you're tired of five guys and the Burger King vibe, try this out!

  • Jason A.

I'm here with my wife and two year old son. If you opt for a cup of water, they DO NOT come with lids, so I had to monitor every move my son makes so that he wouldn't spill the water all over the place. It's hard to enjoy my meal this way. That's not family friendly at all if you ask me. He already dunked his hands in them and I was not happy about that. For what they charge for a $5.00 burger, and $3.00 fries, they could afford a .10 cent lid.

  • Kelly D.

My husband and I recently moved to Miami from NYC, so coming here quickly cures our pangs of homesickness. This is not McDonalds - there are no 99-cent options, no sprawling 10-page menu and you will wait about 10 minutes for your fresh and tasty burger ... and then you will promptly order a concrete (picture a pimped out DQ Blizzard) for dessert. It is refreshing to see that this chain does not skimp on non-flagship locations - keeping the same clean aesthetics and classic food offerings - they know what they do well! Oh, and it is nice to to wait in an hour-long line in Madison Square Park to get your Shack fix. I guess somethings are better in Miami.

    (5)
  • No O.

The food is a bit overpriced for the quality. If you want a decent burger for a better price, just go to 5 guys. They do have good shakes and desserts. The hotdog is really subpar and the sauce they use on burgers is a tart and unusual to include in the burger. All in all it's not awful but you can get better food for less.

    (3)
  • Monica C.

I like Shake Shack... I really do. But what is up with those tiny burgers and sodas. I tried Shake Shack for lunch with my coworkers. Being on a protein diet, I ordered my burger with no bun. It was a little tiny piece of meat. I had to a second burger. Now for the burger itself, it was yummy. It was juicy and flavorful. I am kind of glad I went for the second burger because I tried the special for the month the "easter" burger and it was amazing. It was burger meat with a piece of ham and grilled onions. It was everything a bunless burger should be and more. I also noticed they had a nice beer and wine selection. I was on a lunch break afterall so I didn't try any of it. But its always nice to have a booze option at a burger joint. My biggest disappointment was my bill $20 for 2 tiny bunless burgers and a small soda should be illegal.

    (3)
  • Krizia G.

The place is cute but the food is just ok. Not a place I would come again. I'm not sure if it's the special dressing or what but for the regular cheese burger you can taste the grease.

This has been a few different places since I got here and I like this one the best so far. They have really delicious ice cream. Some of the best I've had sometimes lol. Absolute favorite was when they had pumpkin pie ice cream, I asked how its made and the cashier said they literally just mix whole pumpkin pie in with the ice cream. It was like heaven. If you want something more exciting for dessert go for a concrete lol, I was under the impression it would be a thicker shake but it was just a sundae. They have different special flavors just about every day. The restaurant has a dog friendly section too so that's pretty adorable. The prices are on the mildly higher side but the quality if the ingredients is fantastic. Seeing as its right up the street from a Five Guys they have enough unique options to hold their own. The burgers aren't really big or anything, in fact they're pretty small, but they pack a punch in flavor. The smokehouse burger is a fire in your mouth. The kick doesn't hit until there's a pile of jalapeños in your face. If the sauce isn't spread around its just bite bite bite dear god my tongues on fire! They used to have a UM discount but they stopped doing that which is a let down but I'd still buy the ice cream if I really was in the mood lol.

This outpost of Shake Shack is as good as any of them in NY. Boasting parking and a huge interior - more than enough seating - there us nothing not to like here. Service was very good. No line today. Had a double Shack Burger, fries, and a custard. The burger was, as usual, juicy and the combination of the cheese, Shack Sauce, lettuce, and tomato yields near perfection. The fries at Shake Shake, while crisp and nicely salted, are perhaps the only item that isn't outstanding. Don't get my wrong, they're quite good, but could be taken up a notch (super crispy frites?). Dessert was a custard; today's flavor was gingerbread. Truth be told, I went to Shake Shack today to try this flavor. It didn't disappoint. The cold, custardy equivalent of a wintry spiced gingerbread cookie. The valrhona chocolate pearls gave it an additional kick. Overall, a typical, which means great, experience.

I discovered this yummy place when they sponsored the Zoo Miami Monster Masquerade! (Thank you for for sponsoring to support wild life conservation by the way!) That night they were giving the Shack Burger.... Oh my it was like heaven when I tried it! I loved it so much I had to look them up and rave about it to all my friends. I have now been to the restaurant 5 times and everything I go the burgers are always delicious. I always get the shack burger and my husband gets the double shack burger. The burgers always taste fresh and premium. We tried the "cheese fries" but really weren't all that. They taste like frozen fries with cheese wiz! I do must say I find it a but pricey since a single burger is $5 and double is $8 and that's just for the burger. Drinks and fries are additional. For two people we usually pay around $22+.

  • Rafael L.

This place is what Smashburger wishes it was! WOW very tasty burgers, awesome beer selection, the fries were just OK, and great shakes. If you have not been there, it's not a sit down place (at the price range I thought it was more like RKR:BGR) but it's a great place for informal meals with kids/friends/etc. It's the Chipotle of the burger world with a much better beer selection (even on tap)...

Just an ok burger and really over priced. Prefer 5 Guys and cannot compare it to the standard bearer of chain burgers, In n Out.

  • Dan P.

Eh? With a name like "Shake Shack" I had higher expectations. Went in for a chocolate shake and came out $6 poorer with an average tasting milkshake the size of a elementary school milk carton. Parking lot is tiny too... just not enough of a "wow" factor to get me back there over Five Guys which is ironically right next door!

    (2)
  • Drew H.

Burgers are decent here but its way over hyped. A New York restaurant comes to Miami and everyone goes nuts. The burgers aren't bad but pretty small for an order, fries are decent and the shakes are good. The inside of here is nice and the staff is friendly. If you were looking for a better and a larger burger for the same price I would just stick with Five Guys.

Great Burgers!! I wish they had more locations

  • Joey L.

Yummy!

Love these shakes and burgers, I always heard great things from the New York original location, so had to try and was not disappointed. Just amazingly tasty. Also have beer and wine which is always a plus. I can seriously eat 2 of these they are so good.

Great place to grab a quick bite. It reminded me a bit of BurgerFi. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The only problem was parking as they don't have enough spaces but you can park on the side of the road.

  • Shonti T.

    (4)
  • Beatriz A.

I am honestly not a big burger person but I just love their burgers! They are pretty small but they fill you up with a side of fries. The melted cheese on the fries is the best! Taste better than the usual melted cheese. The shakes are also one of my favorite things here! The malted vanilla shake is def the best!

    (4)

Really spacious and clean shake shack compared to the ones in New York City. Just off US1 and plenty of parking. There were no lines either which is usually expected. Lots of seating inside and outdoors too. The shack burger was delicious, just hit the spot after a long day in the keys.

Like the burgers. I don't do the shakes. The mushroom burger combo is real good. They changed their French fries and they R TERRIBLE.

  • Alberto R.

This place is so good. The best fast food burger I've ever had. So moist and flavorful. The shake was real good too. The beer was real tasty too. The fries were awful though. Still, they get 5 stars cause the burger was he best fast food burger ever.

  • Pacco L.

  • Steve H.

I increased my rating by one star. They improved the fries somewhat, although they are not really as good as twice-fried fries should be. I would still take Five Guys fries over these. Over time, my opinion of the food has improved. The prices are still pretty crazy.

  • Sandra C.

  • Tania G.

2 stars at the very best, nothing more. there is nothing particularly special about shake shack. at all. the 'shack sauce' is mayonnaise and too much of it makes for an ultra salty tasting burger, which was the case for me. eeeek. the vanilla shake, while good, was overpriced for its small size. the fries were noticeably from a frozen bag and put to fry. nothing special about that!

overpriced hamburgers and drinks. Not sure what everyone loves about this place I can get the same thing for way less at other burger joints. I wasn't impressed with the food or service.

Good location. Parking lot is kind of tight. Service is pretty quick. Burgers & hot dogs are tasty. Fries used to be good but they've since switched them to another style that I don't enjoy as much. Drinks & desserts are too small. They've got a ping pong table there too if you feel like playing.

I tried shake shack for the first time today! The double shack burger was 5 stars!! So delicious!!!! The fries were delicious and I also got the peanut butter shake! I would get it all again! It was the best!

  • Joyce A.

The burgers were good, just not filling. There really isn't a variety in the type of burgers on the menu. The fries are also in small quantities. Basically, it's a glorified fast food burger place. Tomatoes and lettuce fresh. Not worth the hype.

The FRIES are back! YAY! Same place GREAT burger.... Just so extremely disappointed about the fries! Krinkle cut is so much better, bring them back or give us the choice! For this reason and only this reason I have the one star.

I don't know what the big deal about this place. Way over priced. The place was packed and I thought it would be an amazing burger. It was weak. Next time I'm in south Miami there are better places to stop. Not gonna stop here again. I gave it a shot. 2 stars at best.

I must have come on a bad day. It was quite possibly the worse burger I've ever eaten.

    (1)

Order the cheese fries and a shack burger! This place is fun for a weekend lunch out with friends. Delicious food and great shakes to top it off. I personally love the U Malt or the chocolate malt shake.

Never had a bad burger here. Done simple and done right! Shakes are really thick and rich! Not the best, but pretty damn good!

    (3)

Got my burger and fries fix! Stopped in to get a shake bueger, cheese fries, and custom concrete, and never fails to fulfill my craving. The team is always very friendly and efficient.

For $27. No thanks.

Good American burger. From the bread to the meat. Just delicious! Fries could be better tho!

Had a chocolate shake, cheesburger and cheese fries.. $15 dollars.. Quite interesting

Visited on Sunday, restaurant was very clean and staff was very friendly. The burgers were greasy, more than likely will not visit again but glad I gave it a shot.

I heart Shake Shack! My favorite pregnancy treat consists of a Shack Burger, Crinkle Fries and a Chocolate Shake (or black & white shake). Sooo good! Makes mommy and baby happy :)

    (5)
  • Sadie A.

The burgers are pretty good. I don't think they're anything special. They're smaller than most burgers you get at other places but I liked that. They would taste much better with higher quality buns but the rest is pretty good. Worth the money for a quick burger.

    (4)

  • Chris O.

    (3)
  • Kelly O.

I come here all the time I'll admit it. I live too close not too. Their cheese fries and shack burger are addicting. I love their soft bun that gets almost perfectly mushy with the greasy perfect patty with cheese and sauce. I also love their shakes and custard. What's there not to love?

    (4)
  • Cristina M.

So glad to have a New York institution here in Miami. Plus! They have ping pong! Who doesn't love a game of ping pong!! The food is great and shakes are awesome.

  • Ryan K.

Impressive burger and peanut butter shake. I had a daily special burger that was the regular Shack burger topped with shallots. The fries were perfectly cooked. This place did not quite end up in the elite burger joint status as In-N-Out and Dick's Drive in.

  • Jessie R.

One of my favorite burgers in all of Miami! I agree that a single burger is not filling, but it does taste great! I'd like to have other cheese options but would defiantly recommend. Milk shakes are also great!

  • Carol M.

These burgers were delicious, the size was perfect for me (about medium size) and left some space for dessert. The meat was juicy and cooked to order.

  • Valerio B.

    (5)
  • Diana R.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this place. The burger was pretty small for the price, (approx $20) and the cheese fries left little to be desired.. The malk shake was good, but served in a medium size cup. Don't think I'll be back.

The food here is good. Unlike any other fast food restaurant it is actually nice. The cheese fries are delicious and the burgers are good even though it is greasy. There are treats for dogs and I got one for my dog and he ate it real quick!

A few weeks ago I tried eating at a shake shack location other than the ones in New York, maybe I'm crazy but the burgers just didn't taste the same, they were definitely lacking something. As far as staff, parking, and location, this place is awesome.

  • Julie H.

  • Bill S.

  • Tennis N.

Burgers.

    (4)

  • Melanie U.

  • Jorge M.

  • Kim D.

  • Ed S.

  • Natalie B.
